Powdery Mold Questions

I spray both Neem oil and Serenade but new mold spots keep appearing. What can I do to combat it. My next step is to get a dehumidifier. If my humidity is at a lower level will PM be able to grow still or am I going to have to keep fighting until I probably lose.
 
1 part Milk to 9 parts water misted a couple times from the first few days, then every couple days. For a week or two. I know it sounds fucked up but search Powdery Mildew & Milk.

Hey I had some bro that I got from a shitty grower! :( So what I did was get some spray from Home depot and my local hydro store. Any one that says it takes care of powdery mildew will work fine. If you are looking to stay organic or some shit then I feel it will be a long uphill road for ya. I put in an extra circulating fan in my rooms and sprayed like the bottle told me to. It worked great and 95% of my mold is gone. I check my plants at least twice a day and if I see any spots I will just give them a squirt and be done with it. I used Ortho Elementals and it seems to work great. GL brotha PM is the fucking devil!
 
Oh and I also quit foliar feeding, don't know if that helped but my problem is almost gone so I am not going to fuck with foliar feeding.

What do you mean by ''parts''? so just milk and water huh?

Well I used a couple products for PM but still didnt get rid of it.... I inspect them everyday and I never get to much mold I see like the tinniest spots form and I just remove the leaf. Its just a huge hassle. I also heard of Water and Baking soda?? anyone know what the mixture is and if its effective?

I think that you are in the same boat as I am, I have plants going at different cycles so I have a constant harvest. Short of us harvesting all our plants and cleaning the shit out of the rooms and starting over I don't see an end to this problem. I don't think you can completly get rid of the problem if you have plants in there, you can just stay on top of it with spays. JMHO but I have been able to almost get rid of all of it. Lesson learned don't let other growers near you room in my case. GL man I hope someone smarter than me can help ya get rid of it. ;)
 
my problem was that I was working with a compromised strain.. I only have 3 plants left of it which is what I am flowing and one Sour Flower in the same room but it hasnt contracted a single spec of PM... yet... It is only this one strain giving me problems, so i am just praying I can get a harvest off this last run and be done with the strain for good... got some master kush, white rhino, and shortrider seeds waiting to take over :)
 
Well it looks like you are doing better than me! LOL I have around 25-30 plants going at a time so I can't just clear out the rooms. I am a MMJ guy and I am also a provider for one person so legaly I can have 30 plants! ;) What I would suggest to you is flower out your plants and clean the fuck out of your room! Top to bottom at least three times with bleach water. Then start over nice and clean with plenty of vetalation and circulating air. Cus the spores from the PM get in the crevaces of your room or tent and you can't see them. Once they try to multiply and grow on your leaves the spores are all around. I would just use sprays till harvest of all plants and clean the fuck out of your rooms top to bottom and you should be good.
 
I have seen the dreaded pm a couple times in my day and I've found the best preventative is a sulfur burner. I use mine every 4 weeks as a preventative treatment, for the plants and the room, and never see the stuff. Spray's work on the plants but don't fill the room therefore they don't take care of all of the spores and the pm will return...

here's my program: if there is a pm outbreak the first thing I do is a spray with some stuff called greencure. I do this when the lights are off and I wait an hour or two after they go off to let the plants cool down, then I soak them top to bottom. 3 days later I fire up my sulfur burner, again I wait a couple hours after the lights go off then fire it up for 4 hours (my area is 10x10x7), then I unplug the burner and let the room stew for a couple hours before turning on my ventilation and fans. the dark period would be like this - 2 hours with lights off and fan's/ventilation on - 4 hours with sulfur burner on and fan's/ventilation off - 2 hours everything off - 4 hours fan's/ventilation on. Use this up to the 4th week in flowering. It's very important to clean all surfaces whenever you have the chance to.

one thing I'd be careful of is using a sulfur burner within a couple weeks of spraying you plants with neem oil.

I've used this program in veg and bloom and it works. It's also og.

Yep, say 1/2 cup Milk to 4 1/2 cups water. Then mist. The milk residue kills mold spores. I made a DIY sulfur burner. It will work great, but not past a couple weeks into flowering.
Like HS says, do a massive bleach cleaning. After you are done a good layer of Neem spayed on is good to start for walls and nooks.

do you guys use a dehumidifier, how do u keep your climate from dropping into the PM area. I use an old grow room from pervious home owner ( got lucky) its in a basement with 4 rooms all good sized. My flower room is about 20x20ft. It has a built in air conditioning system very nice I just dont no how to get it to work... sucks.. I use 1000watt on a wing hood, and it still gets humid. The winged hood may be creating the extra heat that is fueling the humidity?

i never found a cure when i had it..tried serenade but the shit didn't work..kept it from getting worse but that was it..the best advice i can give is dont cramp your plants and keep your RH really low

I only have four plants in 25g pots in a huge room under one light. Serenade smell like ass and doesnt work thats for sure..... I do have a 600watt lamp with a glass hood or whatever there called, would it beable to hold my 1000 watt bulb? anyone know
 
no..not unless u have a ballast that supports 600w & 1000w..do they even make those? HEY BRO do u have each plant in its own 25 gallon pot?? that's huge
 
yeah, thats why im only running four plants, the plants are huge.. potential QP+ plants. An attempt to prevent Powder Mold cuz normal I was running more little plants and I thought this may have been why I was getting mold but now i am just convinced its the strain itself. I put this same strain outside and it also has PM this is not normal especially this time of year and outside...
 
Oh no shit, dude that's why you got powdery mildew..to big of pot..it makes your moisture levels rise like crazy..u should of just put one or two plants under that 600w
 
If you are useing cups it would be one cup milk + nine cups water or one gallon milk + nine gallons water in this case its out of ten onother way to say this is 1/10 milk for 9/10 water, thats what parts means
