powdery mildew

growing DWC, looks like PW. read about using peroxide or baking soda solution. since plants are still in veg stage wondering if can make solution and dip entire plant foliage in solution by turning upside down?

if plants are still in veg find some eagle20 or procure. PM is a nasty little hiccup and may show its ugly face again unless you can find something systemic to kill it now and reduce the chances of spreading it to future generations of clones. Also, find some oxidate in case its shows up during flower

what is procure? also can I safely dip plants in solution. I'm still new to growing.

BT OR 1 part organic milk to 10 parts water

1 part milk to 9 parts water is what is safely used in most big agricultural
grows to rid pm completely for good with no ill effects and can be applied
thru veg all the way up to harvest. I use 2% low fat milk successfully to rid pm.
Use in a sprayer and apply liberally. Baking soda is merely a band aid and the pm
will return when baking soda is used.

Procure is a a broad-spectrum foliar fungicide containing Triflumizole. Its kind of hardcore but in veg you wont have any problems. It acts systemically and kills the pm that is in the plants system. PM isn't only on the leaves but has incubated in the plant cells. if humidity is high and the conditions are right it will ALWAYS come back unless properly treated. If you have have mothers or plan on taking cuts from the infected plants you MUST find something that functions systemically. Surface treatments with baking soda or H2o2 will make you feel better but the problem will persist. In the meantime, you can do an H2o2 spraydown ph'd in the 4.5 range. Changing the surface ph of the leaves will help fight off future outbreaks. Also, keep your humidity in check with a dehumidifier or run a full 24hr light schedule to avoid humidity spikes during the lights off period. good luck

From personal experience, milk and water will not work. It just creates a funky layer of milkfat residue on your leaves.

Myclobutanil is the active ingredient in eagle 20. alot of other brands of fungicide use the same ingredient. it's a systemic fungicide that lasts @ 2 weeks, so a couple applications should wipe your pm infestation out aslong as you deal with the conditions that caused the infection in the first place. Triflumizole may also work but i have no experience with that fungicide. the problem with most of the hippy type pm "cures" (milk, neem...) is that they only kill the part of the pm that is on the surface so pm becomes a permanent addition to your garden.

best advice you will get ^^^,
unfortunately many folk avoid this advice and take the hippy route and end up spraying their plants with skimmed milk or whale tears or some such nonsense

Eagle 20ew is very concentrated and expensive and more suited to farmers with fields of grapes than folk with a few weed plants the active fungicide in Eagle is (myclobutanil) you can buy products that contain this systemic fungicide
from regular garden centers, one product is called systhane

Great advice here fellas. I am the hippie that uses neem and I agree it is just a Bandaid fix. I am switching to something more powerful myself in the next few days due to some changes to my room. Would anyone like to sell me on something that will outperform my neem oil?

If you don't currenty have issues with pm and have never had an outbreak at your current grow location......get a sulphur burner. Easy, cheap, and non-toxic(unless you enter the room full of sulphur dioxide vapor) Great for maintenance and keeping pm from ever being an issue. I use mine every two weeks up until the 4th week of flower.

i decided to use ozone rather than sulphur, when i read about things getting coated in a fine trace of sulphur and the smell it kind of put me off
still they do the trick
