Powdery Mildew Q

I am using a tent and noticed powdery mildew on some of the leaves of the later flowering plants. Basically I bumped a plant and noticed "dust" flying off of it into the light. I started inspecting the plants and noticed some of the leaves had a white powdery substance. I looked w/ a mini-microscope and it is not trichromes and must be powdery mildew. :( White, scaly... you guys knows.

At this point I pulled all the plants that had the powdery mildew. None of it smelled.

Then I kicked-up the dehumidifier and increased air circulation in the tent and air flow through the tent.

Now what? I still have 6 plants in the tent. These are about four weeks flowering.

Thanks. That brings up another question. Separately I have a fungicide I was going to use outside in the yard, Daconil® by GardenTech®. The product says "effective products to prevent, control and stop powdery mildew ".

Can I use this as a substitute to Regalia? Regalia is like $50 a quart on AZ.

Good catch. I now see the difference as one is natural Vs chemical. I'll get some Biofungicide ASAP.

Thnaxx!!

Can you tell me how to prevent? At this point the plants are in a basement tent and the basement temp is 70F. At night the temp falls to 66-68F. I've got the dehumidifier on and the humidity seems to float around 55%. Outside temp is 60F and humidity is 61%.

TIA.

SB INVIGORATOR will do the killing of powdery mildew. but the fact you have turned the airflow up means you have probably transfered it to the other lady's

All of the biofungicides work better as a preventive measure than as a treatment. You could try them now, but they might not work. I would try potassium hydroxide at this point to start, and in the future, treat early and often with one or more of the biofungicides- Regalia, Serenade, or Southern Ag Bio Fungicide (my fave.)

Regalia is a preventative. You will need to spray something else first to actually kill the spores, then follow up with regalia as preventative maintenance. If you dont knock back the existing infection first, you are just going to waste alot of expensive regalia spraying a couple times a week.
