Hi people, i heard that UVC sterilizer (ozone lamp) should help kill powdery mildew. There’s so many of them that i have no idea which one to pick. If anyone used any of those send me the link and how it works. I’m based in UK, would be nice if i could solve this in approximate of 2 weeks

I would look at your grow environment first.
What the cause is from ….
Weak airflow and high humidity. I need a proper UVC lamp to treat the area before growing again. It’s the best way to kill it, but i don’t know which lamp to use, some are very expensive.

Definitely do a full clean out of grow area …. Pull drip pans , clean sidewalls , etc.

I tend to do a full wipe down between runs ( dusting and maintenance ) - I even clean in-line fans ( dust magnet fo sho )
Bleach / water then i Lysol it.

I use bleach to clean everything after each run as well. But with powdery mildew might not help, so wanted to try out UV light after cleaning everything out, just to make sure it will not come back. Nasty thing to deal with.

How big a space we talking?
While most mold will grow and thrive in warm to hot temperatures, multiple studies suggest that extreme heat over 140 degrees Fahrenheit and 60 degrees celsius will kill mold on building materials as well as within food. As a matter of fact, extremely high heat can kill most biological contaminants in the home
Does heat kill mildew google results

This is common in some hospitality industry places like hotels, cuz of bedbugs and...creepy crawlers.if you dont wanna spend bukoo bucks, seal the space up and heat it.
It’s 15 sq/m room and it’s not very possible to heat it up to 60 celsius. That’s why i’m looking for lamp

Enerzen Ozone Generator 11,000mg Industrial O3 Air Purifier Deodorizer Sterilizer (11,000mg - Black)

This is the one I bought to clean up after pm...It works great, and I use it for other things too...It's great for getting rid of odors.

Make sure you read the dangers before you use it...Don't use it while you or your pets are there.

Thank you’ll try it! This one right? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Enerzen-Commercial-Industrial-Deodorizer-Sterilizer/dp/B00JAP7388

I see they offer variety of them. Should i know any mathematical stuff to count how long should i leave it to kill PM or how strong it should be for different room size?

H2O2 kills PM and other spores as well as bacteria and viruses. Cheaper than a machine and not bad for the environment like bleach and (yuck) lysol wipes lmao

I got this one: https://www.tipa.eu/en/germicidal-sterilizing-uv-lamp-solight-gl05-65/d-235326/
Costed me 60€ back then, it's 65 watts and it can disinfect rooms up to 60m2
It has a remote control and you can set the timer. 15 minutes is enough for a 20m2 room

Some tips:
- Wavelength below 250nm will create ozone, above 250nm it won't.
- It can be dangerous for the eyes and skin, never look directly at the light even for a second.
- Ozone can be harmful to breathe, vent out the room at least 1 hour after usage.
- Remove all electronics from the room, the ozone can damage it. Also try to remove as many items as possible, it can destroy rubber as well.
- It may bleach wooden furniture.
- Careful not to break the bulb, it contains mercury as far as i know.
