Potents fast autos???

+Speed Auto by Sweet Seeds. Claimed to be 7 week strain. I grow under LED COB, so my flower times could be stretched. Of 5 seeds one finished in 12 weeks. Others took 9/10 weeks to finish.

I've stayed out of most threads here for a long time just because I didn't want to deal with the myriad trolls here, I stuck to just a couple LED threads. But I've long since decided that the trolls can.......... well you know lol! And RIU needs to boost it's autoflower community. Modern autos are equal to photoperiod weed in most areas for the home grower. Commercially, I don't know, i'd say that the grower would also be best off producing his own fem seed. Then you have ops like one I was just reading about...... 600 strains, 200,000 plants, 88 acres of greenhouses. I can't see running an op like that with autos, though someone with the right imagination might find a way.

But for home and small grow ops, there is no doubt in my mind that autos are the way to go. I grow some photos now and then also, my feelings on them are neutral.

So my current grow is 56 Blue Dragons ( now 46 after removing 10 males ). under my Diablo light as a SOG. I'm looking to see what is the best pot size for this strain for this grow style. Should be a nice pile of bud no matter what!

@pop22 Nice to see respectable AFN members over here..

One of these days, I'm going to stick an auto in a corner and just leave it there until it just gives up lol. Just out of shear curiosity. And to see what happens to the bud.

Nice to see you and @MATTYMATT726 in here spreading the knowledge..
To ones that wanna know..
About trolls? We dont feed them, just ignore them..
For my indoor growing summer heat are craizy so photop.are more suitable due to 12h lights off period, but for other time of year autos are my choice..

Summer is when I like to grow photos indoors also, and autos out in my greenhouse.

@CikaBika

Tried that strawberry pie last night and Jesus she is strong!

Was smoking stardawg all day until I rolled a J of this in the evening. Probably twice as strong man.

Lovely centred feeling - would recommend :)
Heard too many not great reports about fast buds.. But I'm glad its fire.. With rocbudinc, twisted autos, and ethos, I think growing fastbuds will wait,.
Currently started cream caramel grow..

That’s most likely because it’s newbies growing them haha
I've wondered how much that impacts their reputation; they advertise a lot, are less expensive than others, have a large selection, and seem to always be available. It makes sense that a lot of new growers would find them. I've also seen experienced growers complain about their inconsistencies though, so I'm not sure how much of their reputation for pheno instability is earned. I have no real information on this, but they might also sell significantly more seeds than others. For instance, if they sell 10,000 seeds a year and Mephisto sells 1000 per year, and they each have a 10% failure rate, in raw numbers FB would have 10x as many failures.

I bother to think about this stuff because I wish FB's seeds were top quality, for the reasons I listed above -- they have a great selection, are relatively inexpensive, and are always available. But as it stands, for instance, as I think about seeds I might feminize and breed for my own stock, I doubt there will be any FastBud strains on that short list, since I don't have a lot of confidence in their genetics. I have bought a few though, and I will rotate them into the grows and see for myself how they do.

Nothing is perfect, I've had issues with Mephisto seeds. I won't include instances of seeds not germinating or early mortality, since it's possible that those are my/user error. Here's a mutant, pure and simple, the only reason I'm keeping this Sour Stomper around is that I'm curious how it's going to grow and I have room for it. She is 22 days old in this picture. Eventually when this group gets bigger I'll run out of room and pull her, but for now she lives. These are plants, nothing will be 100% perfect about them.

Good points. Im aware their phenotypes can vary wildly but one can only know if they plant 10 seeds or so. Doing 2 is ofc going to give u different plants which could be on the opposite sides of the spectrum by chance.

They probably are not as thorough with their breeding program as others.

Still - all I care about is getting what it says in the description!

Breeding and stabilizing strain takes time and money. Could be that FustBud spends less on breeding and more on advertisment to keep prices lower.

I had few similar fails with Mephisto..But due to the omerta code and mepheads on afn, I always thout It was all my fault..
Coz I'm real I'm F grade grower.. But still All my plants live to harvest .. I think that mephisto girls are so fast and clocked IN, that if U fck any step of the grow, results simply dont fill their potencial..

People talk about 70 days...80 days...90 days...and no mention of what lights they are using...but it's ALL about the lights. I have Vero Cob lights and I have a few Platinum P300's, Vipraspectras, etc,..I like to experiment. I can harvest an auto White Widow in 70 days if I use my Cob set up...but my P300s are 80 to 85 for the same grow. Same with feed charts that come with nutrients...I can do close to full dose with good lights and about 1/2 dose with cheaper lights. it all comes down to how much photosynthesis is going on.

A 70 day grow is possible, but only with really good lights.

Wooow I never think like that.I have citizen/cree cobs
and 2x sanlight q4w..

But I dont know which ones a better..
But I geuss that how good enviroment you have is also determines harvest time..
