Potasium Hydroxide. Anyone using this to buffer pH?

Just got this I was tired of using root farm pH up. So from my understanding best way to use this is to prepare a diluted solution much like pH up bottled store bought product then add it slowly to 5 gal until desired level. Am I missing anything here or something that I should be aware of? Thanks ahead of time.

I was. I am actually now doing the 20% tap mix and it seems to be way more stable & now requires more pH down to bring it down witch is nice because with pure rO that I would buffer with potassium, it would take such random amounts of pH down I would always somehow over shoot.

If you plan to mix your own, dilute your powder to around 17% with distilled water then use that. I used to mix my own but for 9 bucks a bottle I just buy it pre made. I use around 400L of water a week & these last months
