pot size

I'll soon be growing outdoor monsters. What size pots should I use If Im growing from early may to early october (5 - months)? I'm looking for the biggest yeild.

I think the majority of people use around 3 gallons but if you want monsters, the bigger the better.

For indoor growing I use 2.5 gal pots. For monsters that are going outside I would use 5 gal pots.
