pot size

i have a grow cab which is 3 foot height, i read about a rule of thumb that says every foot = 1 gallon pot...
so i need 3 gallons pot, i know its kind of small but my question is - except the amount of yield, small pots effect the bud quality?

and if my plant would be 3 foot tall how much weed do you think i will get from 1 plant (sativa.. )(using 125w cfl lights)

No...that rule is one gallon per month... A one gallon pot can make a 5 foot tall super lanky plant and I have seen stuff fill out 5 gallons and be less than 2 feet tall. You will soon understand that no one can give you a semi exact honest answer about yield. Could be a quarter ounce, could be 3, thats all up to you. Hard thing with sativas and cfls is that the leafs are so lanky and the whole plant stretches so much more thinning oit your light intensity....

I grew sativas 3 in a single five gallon pot the quality was awesome the quantity sucked under an oz dried. The real thing to watch for is them getting root bound. I have heard that root size is pretty much the determining factor in bud size. I'm not really sure all I know is what I've done. I personally won't grow a plant in anything less than a five gallon per plant. I'm currently using seven gallons and they seem much happier. The previous post was 100% correct about sativas and cfls. It's doable just try to stay on top of how you use your lumens.

post some pics, can you grab the plants by the stalk and pulll all the dirt out (sont literally just saying)

125w of CFL is somewhat low even for 1 plant, unless you have like 10 12w bulbs positioned 1/2 a inch away from plant, reflectors and placed all around the plant the light prob wont be enough to have dense buds.

as far as pot size goes. im not 100% sure on this but once the plant gets root bound it simply stops growing so you dont want this to happen.

how long has it been in the 3 gal pot?

post a couple pics and you will get some more detailed advice, if the plants dont become rootbound then a 3 gal pot is fine and will not effect your quality or yeild, but chances are if its a decent 3ft plant it will become rootbound.

height can be countered with training, i suggest maybe geting the largest pot that will fit and lst your plant around it and then veg it till its like 6 inchs up the flower shouldnt get over 2 and a half feet tall and you will have a great yeild, then if your a good grower it wil be quality as wellView attachment 1905374
