Pot size?

I grow in a 2x2 ebb & flow tray and have a pair of 2" rockwool grown plants and another pair of 4" rockwool plants. I know im backwards but I have the 2inchers in 1Gallon water jugs with drainholes drilled at the bottom. The 4inchers are in 6" black pots, Im seeing alot of roots coming out the bottom of the 1gal plants meanwhile the blackpots hardly any but their sizes dont reflect what Im seeing. The largest plant is in a 6" pot and is about 15"tall, the smallest is also in a 6"er and is barely 12".

So aside from that not making sense I am wondering if either size pots need to be up-sized before I begin flowering? My space is 7ft tall and I have about 4.5ft of total useable grow area.

Im not sure of your question, But IN this case Bigger is better when choosing pots. But there is point where it is to big. And be careful transplanting just before flower, if you can veg for another week or two would be best.

what? umm.. pics? :) please..
No need for pics, small rockwool in big containers, big rockwools in small container. Size of plants dont correlat to pot size as in big rockwool in small pot=big white widow, bick rockwool in small pot=small MBK:bigjoint:

You got the question right on, I guess the better question would have been if I want a total plant height of 3.5-4Ft what size pots? And I will wait a week before changing lights, thanks.
