Has anyone tried leaving a plant from one outdoor season to the next season (getting some bud but letting it continue growing all year?)

you can reveg a indoor plant. but i dont think you can just leave a harvested plant outside and have it grow next year.

you can reveg it by putting it under 18/6 lighting right after you clip the buds. But clip buds off the end only, leave foliage for reveg to occur. Will look deformed, i never reveg unless trying to salvage your favorite strand from dying off completely, but it works but it takes a long time.

did the roots freeze or receive any water ..? if theres new growth or the roots are still in tact youd have to care for it to find out for sure .. not even worth it by any means .. start over

WTF is the point of growing a plant all year and NOT harvesting bud?!? seems redundant to me.

what are you trying to achieve here? cause im fuckin lost.\

if you have a plant outside in the ground under natural light it will complete its life cycle in a single season AND DIE.

it is a hypothetical question. if i let it live would it continue living on like a tree? or is it a plant that dies in one year regardless of harvest? cause i might be growing outdoor and be unable to harvest, so if i let it just grow the next harvest season would it just be even more monster

No, it is an annual and is locked into the cycle, once it completes its mission (seed production) the main plant will perish, just like any other annual. Sort of like, if you don't pick a daisy, will it continue?...No...

I have heard stories of a very small area in Spain where the weed keeps going but it seems to have a lot to do with the microclimate there...all rumors though, and since weed USED to actually be a perennial, it is possible that the ones in Spain never crossed over to the annual side.

no, you can veg indefinetly indoors, but outdoors the plant follows its natural life cycle of a single season.. im sorry, but your idea will not work. marijuana isnt made to survive winter.

It's not so much the weather as it is the life cycle of the plant... It's an annual. With the weather logic any indoor grower could reuse the same plant over and over again since the environment is controlled, but it doesn't work that way. You can clone a plant indoors and continue however, but not outdoors since the sun cannot be manipulated.

if you can start it indoors, say in december, youll end up with one hell of a monster. tree-like anyway.
