pot and soil?

i'm about to plant a seed in a big pot and was wondering wat i should use to surround it. i was already informed that the compost should be aged, and i have great soil...but i dont know wat i should put it in and how i should mix it. would a plant grow if i just put it in a pot...left it in the sun where it will have no interruptions everyday and watered it every 3-4 day? thanks for the help
 
If you did that what light would it get? This time of the year you can't plant outside too cold and the sun is too low in the sky. How would you control the temperature of the area where your plant is? Would you be ph testing all things added to the plants? What fertilizers do you plan on using?

i live in san diego...so the weather stays constant year round at about 65 degrees. and i dont know wat fertilizer i would use...could u help me out?
 
the temp isnt what is going to effect, its the lack of daylight hours
foxfarm makes good soil/fertilizer. i suggest looking into it

I am a distributor for a new humate based organic fertilizer that comes in pellets. It will be on the market in 3 -4 weeks. Tests show better root growth and average 18.5% increase in THC content using our product.
Formulated specifically for Hemp. We are in Oklahoma. Let me know if you want some info. Be well.
 
Go get some potting soil and put it in a 3" pot and only water it with 24 hr old tap water that you pH.
When the seed sprouts it can live it the small pot till you see roots starting to come out the bottom for the pot. Put in bigger pot 10" and feed lightly now you can use your compost.

When ready to flower put in BIG pot and feed as needed.
