Posted harvest dates?

When you look at the seed/breed info some say -harvest mid October. Does that mean mid October even if it is 4 weeks old before you transplant it outside, or is it dependant on the age of the plant? Also is the posted harvest date dependent on Latitude?

Yes, like their yield quotes, it is just a rough guide based on average daylight time shifts.
