Mossy: The terps have to be a physical object on the leaf. I was thinking about it like this, when you burn hash you still smell the terps. If you put some 70 micron bubble hash under the microscope i bet you could indentify which were the terps. Since your only going to get the smallet bits of the THC glands. Mostly the heads and such.

Mossy... I pulled this pic off the web.. I am trying to find a nice close up of some full melt, one that shows the heads clearly. I found this pic, if the things i have highlighted are the terps, a much smaller screen will need to be used.. I wonder if a 23 micron would even catch these? See if you can see anything like this on some pungent plant matter. I need to get some new bubble bags i think, i have some testing to do .

HigH people. Well like I said before I took a small branch from each of the ladies last night and did my first ever manicuring. I have the nuggs drying inside my makeshift cereal box bud dryer. I just poked a few holes in the box and have the branches inside standing tall. Anyway here are a few pics from the lil harvest. Those are some frosty looking popcorn buds. In a few of those pics i see some colour on the ends of the calyxs.

Yeah they are from smaller branches of each plant. What do you mean by color on some of the calyx's? I'm a total rookie, is that good or bad? Thanks!

Bighill, For a good superfine screen you can go to a screen printing shop or a supplier online and get crazy fine screens that are very reasonably priced. My sister used to own a screen printing shop for t-shirt printing and its what I used all the time for bubble hash untill i lost it

Yeah mate they work good, i used em baack in the day. I screwed a small hand sander to one corner. Took all the work out of it. I even fabbed a V2, that had a peice of glass suspended under the screeen. Was really a sharp little unit..

Once it was fabbed it, i'd have to say i liked it more than the bubblebags you can get now. I used it until i got arrested.. Alot more durrable than the bubblebag material. What made me go to bags was i couldn't get the micron size i wanted from the silk screens. Not easily anyways.

How much are a good set of bubble bags now a days?

I caught dargo here..

then dargo disappeared...after I spoke to him...so...I was starting to get a complex....

No taste test yet hopefully this weekend! I am now realizing I am not gonna meet my goal of smoking my cured harvest by thanksgiving. That's cool I want to dry and cure properly! I sure didn't come this far in my first grow to smoke prematurely. So I still have those first three branches drying in my cereal box. I checked em out yesterday and they still smell greeney. When you are drying how long does that fresh greeney smell last before the chronic smell takes over? Does that happen during the curing process? Thanks for any input!

a couple of people did mention back home that you were here. i had a browse but couldnt find you. went through the last 2 months of several auto related threads but alas i did not see you. until i got a random email saying i had a message on here from bighill, and the rest is history! glad he went through the effort of tracking me down on here to let me know, must have taken a while and for that i am extremely grateful! the old team is back together, just need meaty and pipeline for the full set i believe!

I jumped in to congratulate you on the Idea..

You have to think of it this way...
On my conditions I didn't expect them to survive..so I was happy with what I got..

You outgrew me..with the same genetics..

mine were between 11 and 14 g's..and yours off the top of me head was 64 g's..
so if I can adapt My growing to match Yours..
then I can expect all my Standard 1 ounce phenos to come off @ 4-5 ounces..

What could be a better Gift to a friend..?

AND..
if we run the Challenge again next season..
I only need to improve my yield of 14 g's..to say that I have improved...
You on the other hand Sir...have to TOP 64g's....BOOM.....
