I have personally found useful ways to use all of the lights you listed above so if every option is on the table then, I like having t5's around for a slower veg to help with timing. LED's are great for adding in more spectrums for flowering, low heat, low electricity cost for vegging, as well as the higher end LEDs can now compete with the production power of the HID alternatives. HPS / MH just have raw power for bulk growth but require other more complicated systems to accommodate the issues they cause with heat and intensity.

So long story short what ever you want to get out of growing ( quality / quantity ) will determine the best light set up for you, I prefer having all of them around to stretch or bush out my plants as needed.

You missed a couple. LEP and LEC. LEC trumps t5 and even led in terms of par per watt based off a 3x3 footprint. The heat is easily controllable since they are only 315 watts.

4x 600w MH/HPS with air cooled push/pull with 2x 8" 720 CMF fans.

Air intake is pulled witha 6" 400cfm fan though an intake filter inside that large box, which has a portable AC/Heater inside. Exhaust out the roof though a carbon filter with another 6" 400cfm.

Also that huge swamp cooler and fan in the tent. I've been thinking about switching to a minisplit and humidifier, not sure.

How long do you veg?
That last grow vegged for 2 weeks before flip. I usually flip once the roots are in the water for a few days. They literally explode after roots touch water. Finally got 6 more clones going for my next run. Will be putting them in the next couple days.

I am considering ditching the three bucket DWC setup. Too many res to change and with a net on top of growth its hard to change the res. Will anyone share blue prints to a better setup? I want to avoid paying $100-$300 for a 4x4 flood table and $300 to $500 for an ebb and bucket grow setup. I never plan on growing more than 10 plants.

I'm confused, lol. 2 weeks from rooted clone? I look at that and think 6 weeks, lol.

I've been hand watering organic soil for 3 years. I'm thinking about going to some sort of hydro, I've even been looking into some sort of hybrid hydro/soil set up and/or an auto water setup. Wanna take advantaged of frequent flooddrain and oxygenation somehow but still keep it organic. I know people will hate but if you don't grow organic, you don't know what you are missing, other than yield, lol.

I've also been getting into aquaponics and really want to try a few cool techniques used there, such as a continuous flood with a bell siphon. Looking into setting up a small aquaponic dwc and/or bell siphon bed with a couple of fish tanks we have.

The only problem with all this is I suck at making things with my hands and have no tools. Anyone wanna help me build some shit? I have lots of weed and cool toys.

If you make it down here, hit me up Al. I love to build & fix things. Tools galore. I should have been an engineer, but settled for economics.

I have two Alpine OG FEM, under an 180W Apollo LED full spectrum. I know textbook says I WILL NEED more light especially for flowering. But my question is how much is the minimum I can go for? Prices for electricity are so high were I live so I need to keep it calm.

If I buy another 180 W Apollo (the same exact one) will work, maybe a 300W LED that would be perfect.

Could I just buy 2 x70w HPS or 100 W HPS, and put them on the sides? or CFL?

Pleas really need some suggestions, I am a new grower and would be so thankful with some advice.

PS> I build a nice capsule inside the closet that I can adjust as it grows, my growth has been exceptional so far. WILL ADD PIC

You better flower that plant ASAP if it's staying in that tent.

I like 50 to 300w of led per plant, that`s draw your 180w apollo probably draws around 80 to 100w tops

I like to get at least 60g per plant and 200g plus is better so I like to use over 50w of led per plant obviously space, airflow, strain and how long you veg and what you feed effect that too

I would get yourself a good 300w to 600w led panel, shop around get a deal a 300w one normally uses 150w and a 600w uses upto 300/400w if your lucky

you can do 2 to 4 nice plants under a good 300w led, and get 2 to 4 zips per plant

Good luck, that light looks ok for now but to finish them big and frosty you`ll want another 100w of led
