post-germination questions

I am currently germinating my seeds using the paper towel method. Once they have sprouted and are germinated i am a little confused. I am planning on using solo cups to put the fox farm ocean spray soil into. My question is how tightly should i pack the soil in the cup. Also, after i make my hole for the seed and lightly cover it with dirt, what do i do? do i put it into my grow room underneath my 250w hps light? and also do i water and use nutrients as soon as i put the seed in the soil?. As you can see this section is confusing me because i dont wanna mess up w/ somethin small and ruin my seeds. I appreciate any help.

1. i put soil in to the top without packing, then add some water to it, then put in more soil to get the soil level back up to near the top of the cup.

2. you can leave it in the dark or put it under the light. if in the dark, add the light when they sprout. when under the light, keep the light a couple of feet above the seedlings until they are a couple of weeks old.

3. keep the soil slightly wet for the first week after sprouting. then start watering thouroughly with some water leaving the holes at the bottom of the cup. wait until the soil is dry down a couple of inches then water again.

don't add nutes for the first couple of weeks or sooner only if the leaves are yellow.

In addition to what the previous post suggested, I add plastic wrap on the top of my cups until my plant becomes a seedling. This keeps the soil from drying out.

Plus Keeps the Humidity UP, Freshly Germinated seeds Like near 100% humidity until they turn into seedlings.
