Possibly a stupid question re: lights

Hello all. This may be a stupid questions, but I figure I should ask it anyway. I have a 400w Yieldmaster hood and ballast I used on a previous grow, and now I'm in a different space than before. The new space I'm thinking about using is just too narrow for the hood to fit (Hood is 22" wide, space is 18").

Would it be a problem to hang that hood at an angle so it fits? The grow area would be totally lined w/ reflective surfaces and I could switch which way the light is facing every day if need be to keep the light balanced. Is this ok?

Thanks

It shouldn't be too big of a deal as long as most of the room has a direct line of sight with the bulb (as long as the reflector at an angle doesn't block a whole wall from direct light*
