Possible way for all female crop without worries.

So I have been trying to decide if I want to buy feminized seeds or just regular seeds. I think I finally made up my mind on what I want to do. Supposedly feminized seeds have hermie traits and I want to leave my crop out in the wilderness for the entire season. I am going to Incorporate subcools super soil into 2' deep by 2' round holes so I don't have to feed it on a regular basis. I will start with regular seeds and veg them till I can get 2 clones off of each plant. Change to flower and cut out all the males and their clones. I thought this would be a good idea Bc the regular seeds are better genetics and if i get a 50% male/female ratio I'll come out with 5 more females then if I would of bought fem. Plus regular is cheaper.

So my question is after I get all males out and I have all the mothers left with the 2 clones each can I put all of them outside to grow into large healthy females or do you think the moms would experience to much stress in this transition from veg to flower then back to veg when put outside? And would they even go back to veg?

I know the clones would do fine I just don't want the mothers to turn hermie and pollenate all the crop.

The plant will reveg as long as it has less than 12 hours of dark. If you are taking clones I don't see why your mothers would need to be flipped to flowering. Build a cheap CFL box to sex clones in so you can keep your mothers in veg.

Well I'm starting out with 10 lemon diesel seeds and I need to weed out all the males before I put them out in the woods to leave them. Is there another way to find the sex without flowering her?

If you don't have the time or space to sex grow out seeds and sex clone you can always do fem seeds. I've grown quite a few fem seeds outdoors and never had any problems. The genetics were always very good and never had a single male flower. No idea why they get such a bad rap.

each strain is different. Some will show earlier than others. If you have an old computer that doesn't work laying around, you could turn it into a clone box for sexing your plants. Cheap, not difficult to make and gives you a controlled area to sex them with out having to put your mothers into flower and then back to reveg

So pretty much just get a clone off of each plant, sex those clones and that will tell me which plant is male or female without messing with the mothers? And what type of root gel do I need to buy for cloning?

you can go to wal-mart or home depot anywhere with a gardening center and they should have cloning powder for like $2-$5 and it'll last you a loooooong time, unless your popping clones daily lol. Plenty of youtube videos with instructions on how to clone if you haven't cloned before.

But yes, all you need to do is take a clone from each plant and sex the clones and it'll tell you what the mother is. Just make sure you label everything really well so that you don't accidentally throw out a female thinking it was the male.

Yessir...number 1 rule: label your mother plants and also label each bag of clones when they are taken. But, put the labels on the plant at ground level, and cover them over with soil so that they do not stand out.

If you plan on carrying in a lot of clones, root them out in rockwool cubes. The rockwool cubes are square, so they are very easy to pack together in a container. Another plus, if the rockwool is allowed to almost dry out before transporting your clones it weighs almost nothing. Remove the plastic wrapper as you pack them into the container. The entire, unwrapped cube can then be buried in the garden soil, and watered in.

Just my two cents.
