Possible fungus infection?

Hi, Ive looked through loads of pages trying to find an answer for this issue, but cant seem to find one?

Excuse me if this has already been answered somewhere else, but my heads spinning from trying to use the search function?>

Anyhow.

I have a problem with a couple of the main stems on one of the plants?

The stem goes sorta soft, as opposed to the others that are quite firm and crispy.

When cutting the stem further back, it is firm, but the disease is spreading very quickly, so ive cut the stem right back past the point of infection, in to a healthy part.
It looks dark and almost mushy?

The leaves at the end are still very functional, yet the middle of the stems looks totaly wrong.

I have still five weeks til the end of flowering.

I am concerned that it is a root infection and not another, or maybe a more serious problem?

I keep the room bellow 60% most of the time, but sometimes this climbs uncontrollably even with a dehumidifier. (I cant use at night due to the light on it...).

The rest of the plant is healthy and strong, and there seems to be no darkening of the roots etc.

Could this be over watering?
I use a drip system in coco 15mins every hour, day and night.

Please help if you can?
Thanks in advance!
