hey all. this is my first grow. I planted on oct 24th and yesterday I was able to sex 4 out of the 6 plants.

I'm new to this so I dont know if this is normal or not but to me this seems really early for preflowering? Its not supposed to change to 12/12 light until like march!

anyways, wondering if this is normal or not? how long is the preflowering stage and how should i know when flowering stage starts?

also should i stop feeding them the veg grow nutes now?

here is a picture of where they are at right now.

5 of them are durban poison and the one in the front on the right is new purple power.

you can also check out my grow journal here to see pictures of how i knew they were preflowering:

thanks!

I don't veg for 5 months before budding I veg 8 weeks and go to bud. does your strain say to veg 20 weeks or what? your plants are looking real good how tall are they? As for nutes stop feeding veg two weeks before moving to bud just use water with 1tsp mollasses per gal.

they range from aboug 2-3 feet tall right now. they have been vegging 9 weeks so far more or less. how do you go to budding? i thought if it was outdoor it was all in the hands of mother nature when the different stages take place?

outside it is but budding starts at 12hrs light or less what area are you in? Is there more than 12 hrs of light?

yeah. i'm in south america. its much more than 12 hour light here. its not supposed to be 12/12 until like march. thats why i was asking why it was preflowering already and if thats weird.

not weird sometimes they show their sex early which it good for you, you don't waste time growing too many males. Good luck with those plants.

thanks.

and what about nutes? should i stop feeding htem the grow nutes or continue on with those? how do i know when the flowering stage starts and when i should start giving htem the flowering nutes?

keep feeding veg nutes once a week till end of Jan and then start bud nutes 1st of march Skip any feedings in Feb
