possibilities of making DMT into a legal high ?

Theoretically the dmt would still be there but with a little extra to change its structure, but it would still be smoked and you should get the same hit!?

Modifying the chemical structure makes a new chemical. There are several analogs of DMT that may be legal, I don't know UK law on RCs. The closest to DMT would be ones with slight changes to the alkyl groups on the amine nitrogen like MethylEthylTryptamine (MET), MethylisoPropylTryptamine (MiPT), DiEthylTryptamine (DET), etc etc.

4aco-dmt is legal,unless you eat it..as with most r.c.'s..if intended for consumption they then become illegal

just did a little digging...
Alpha-methyltryptamine is legal in the United Kingdom at it does not fall under the tryptamine clause as its substituent is not on the nitrogen position. See "2001 Misuse of Drugs Act: Schedule 1, Regulation 3" for more information.
Vendors and online reports stress the fact that aMT is active from very small doses as low as 10mg oral or even 2mg when smoked so caution should be taken to correctly measure doses especially when smoking.
Smoking aMT is reported to produce less psychadelic effects and more stimulant style effects with both a faster onset and a shorter duration. Care should be taken with measuring doses as aMT is considerably more potent by weight when smoked.
Anecdotal reports suggest cannabis can potentiate the psychadelic effects of aMT
αMT is tryptamine with a methyl substituent at the alpha carbon,does this mean i can take freebase powder and add to it to make a whole new legal freebase? or is it a whole new extraction ?
what im trying to do is combine dmt freebase with something easy that will provide a loophole if i should get caught in possession, if i cut it with a little glucose is that changing its compound enough ?
is changa made from harriem leaves prosecutable?

Anytime you add to something the technique is not gonna be called extraction...there is no way really to change a substance without changing the effects..unless you change it and then reverse the change when consumption is calling...

Cutting anything is simply silly,and dangerous..if you cut a substance,in the eyes of the law you jusgt have more of the substance,but in weaker purity..

that was just an example,glucose wouldn't burn nice anyway lol, i did wonder what are the implications of changa are though with the fuzz, but if i could fuse something chemically to my dmt like you do with changa then would that be a legal compound, so basically what can i fuse my dmt with and and get the same hit with ?

Nothing,if you add even a molecule of,say,carbon, it becomes a different compound,and ultimately will have a different effect when consumed...glucose is not an element,so not molecularly binding something is 'cutting'..I.e. you will have a bag of dmt mixed with glucose..while it contains 1gram of dmt and 2 grams of glucose,the cops will see it as 3 grams of dmt..your best action is to leave the dmt be in your stash box and don't do anything to bring the cops near it...responsible drug use is what its called..I think..lol

they are doing it already with speed ,ecstacy ,mj,bath salts ect ect. why not dmt?
i'm asking this as a complete novice, i respect your wisdom and im not wishing to offend any1 or claim i know what im talking about at all, this intrigued me when i started thinking of the possibilities as i watched the news last night!

I didn't even watch the video..but what you're saying chemicaly about changing meth,mdma,thc..these are 'research chemicals'..they are not the exact chemical they mimic and therefore legal..unless they are intended for consumption..the chemical companies sell these chems labled 'plant food' in some occasions..in most of my personal experience,r.c.s are fun but nowhere near the effect of the chemical they mimic...you can get a few chems that are chemicaly similar to dmt but effects are far different than the real deal..as far as the remaining question,like mreduck said you might be able to change it,but it'd be a long shot and you yourself say you have no chemistry knowledge..id say the answer is no,you cant change your dmt into a legal substance to skirt the law..SMOKE IT ALL NOW BEFORE YOU GET ARRESTED!!!!!!LOL...hope you have fun bro!
