Gonna be running 4 Amare pro4's and thinking heat might become an issue.

Thoughts on cooling the room the tent is in with a 10,000 btu and then intaking that cooler air into my tent? It's only like a 140sqft room.

your new so here is the low down about those AC

they are 100% crap ......look at the energy they use vs the cooling they say they can do ..........u are paying for 1/3 extra power with 1/2 the cooling power

a grow area a window shaker or a mini split are the only 2 choices u have to get the most bang for your energy buck
the mini split is the best choice ......a window shaker ac is far 2nd but does much better then portable

I had to get a stand alone a.c. because heat, and I got one that works. The exhaust is the only problem. And I feed that to a room that gets scrubbed before the air goes outside. The a.c. works 100%
I also have central air, but 1000w in a tent gets hot.
I put the a.c. directly in the tent. 75° lights on, 64° lights off.

u got more issue then that .......the water it makes will set off the dogs too ......it has the smell trapped in it so if u are draining in a bucket the water spills anywhere it set off the dogs

telling u a mini split is the best answer .........the air does not leave the room that it was in so the smell is not a issue .......if u know where the drip hose for the RH control is outside u can mix used coffee grounds into the soil there killing the weed smell from the water it releases

but the answer to the trouble u are having is easy cost more money to get it and u need to be using 8 10 or 12 inch ducting .....they sell ozone gens that can go into the ducting .......it will kill any smell that comes into the ducting ....the air out will smell of nothing like a hospital

the other way is to do what u are talking but that is going to raise the temp in that room ........u are going to be a huge target on the flair camera

lol, everything exhausts in house. Water, air, everything.
I'm not worried about the water from the unit, because I flush it. My whole tent is wrapped in polyshield. I use a heat sensor gun to check for heat leaks outside the house. A window unit would potentially vent stinky hot air, no matter what filters you run. Either get a very good central ac, or stand alone. They work.
Don't vent out stinky air, and flush your water.

Yeah.. I'm in a legal state and keeping everything within the law. Not really worried about dogs or flair cameras lol

Didn't know I had to, was just wondering how to cool my tent lol
there are 3 types of grows
illegal at home
legal at home
commercial ....illegal legal both the same major problems

each one requires different gear ....different thinking

legal at home is the simplest.........at that point the goal is to mimic the best possible day for the plant with out need of carbon scrubbers or hiding the system

if u are legal then u can just order a simple window kit for the portable ac (i tell ppl to use them when they are illegal so it looks like a exhaust for a portable ac/heater unit )
https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Whynter-Portable-Conditioner-ARC-WK-14SP/dp/B0048ELAAS

done .......why make it complex when u are legal ......a portable ac in a tent is a bad idea the energy cost of it does not work on in the numbers but if u want to do it
u take the vent out one of the ports in the tent and run ducting to the window so it can dump the hot air

A portable a.c. DOES work just fine in or out of a tent, as long as you vent the heat. Same thing as a window mount. That is my conclusion from trial and error, not guessing. Any a.c. unit will cost money to run. Is it worth the cost to have dank nugs? In my case, it is.

Well to be fair, I'm still gonna carbon can my exhaust to be considerate of my neighbors.
Big Blue Ozonator will work much better than a Scrubber and easier to configure for cleaning exhaust air. Window banger AC will work much more efficiently than a portable as well.
