Truly inspirational man. Your living the Dream!

I've seen all your albums on here and everything your doing is breathtaking.

Porky B is the best grower i've seen on this site by far.

I've been growing for 3 years now and my biggest dream and goal is to be doing it like you man.

Best of luck to you bro. I'll be waiting to see how this turns out.

Wow! your making me blush!

Thanks man, its taken a long time to get to this point.

It really is nice here in summer. But I would not want to be up here in winter. Way too much snow!

Heaven is hell when it's frozen!

was that thrills netting he is using as fencing over the plants
That was fencing I was using as fencing. :-)

We a had few different types of fence rolls lying around. One was a 4 foot by 50 foot roll that I cut into sections.

Here's a better shot of the fence roll.

As you can see...it's way over built! There is no need to use something so strong. (unless its free!)

We are always making do with whats lying around. Most of the beds at Hog Heaven were made from scrap wood salvaged from a little barn we tore down.

I know that feeling! I just moved from Nevada City @ 4300 ft. and that was bad enough for me. I have a LandRover and got stuck/snowed in.....bullshit! I moved 20 minutes down the hill to around 1800 ft.....lots better in winter, but not nearly as nice in Summer. There's nothing like a Sierra summer for sure!!

Welcome everyone!

Grab your favorite beverage and spark up some kind budbongsmilie while I take you on a tour of this years grow.

This years garden is actually two separate gardens. The first garden I share with an old friend/roommate and its behind our house. The second garden is on a remote plot of land 45 Min's away. I call the backyard garden The Pig Pen and the mountain garden Hog Heaven.

These are 100% legal grows done for a select group of medical marijuana patients.

Now on with the show....

This year we made a small greenhouse off the back deck to start our plants for summer. We put two 1000w MH on a light rail to supplement the morning and evening hours and to keep the plants from flowering.

This shot was taken in the middle of May.

Some nights were so cold (below freezing) we would leave the 1000's on all night to keep the plants warm. The whole forest behind our house would be lit up like a search light was on it. (Good thing we don't have any neighbors!) The next morning there would be all these crazy fist size moths all over the outside of the plastic.

Like this.

(I do not usually get side tracked so easily. But you have to admit thats a bad ass moth!)

So by June first the plants looked like this....

This is when most of the plants in the backyard were put in the ground.(June 1st)

Coming up next....The Pig Pen.
looks like that moth fUcked a butterfly

looks like that moth fucked a butterfly
Hahaha.

Thats exactly right.

A furry butterfly with trippy feather like antenna.

Worthy of a close up!

He just sat there slowly beating his wings for twenty minutes while I smoked a joint and tripped on him. :eyesmoke:

looking real nice porky! those purple strains are looking dank already. what are using for bloom nutes?
I am always changing it up depending on how the plants look.

For liquid ferts I like making Bat Guano teas with added fish emulsion, liquid seaweed, potash, and molasses.

Right when the plants start to transition into flowering I'll do a top dressing of all the beds. I'll mix in a little fresh soil, dolomite lime, sulfate of potash, 0-8-1 bat guano and various left over amendments. Then I do a very heavy watering.

I also make compost teas once or twice a month.

Mostly I just try and maintain a balanced diet through out their life. Making sure the plants have plenty of everything but not too much of anything. I never try to push too hard with any particular nutrient.

If I've hit the mark so to speak...the last month or so they get (and need) nothing but water.

You've got it figured out man. definitely a great routine and diet based on your results ( and i'm sure the smoke is heavenly). I should've used lime this year, but screwed up. Check out the indonesian bat guano its something like 1-13-.5 or something like that, nice stuff! can't wait to see how they turn out man, + Rep for sure

Wow I didn't know you had a grow going on Porky, I'm in love with your photography, it takes an eye for angles and lighting to get shots that nice.
I love your style of gardening, everything looks great.

What is your early veg training if any?
What mountain are we talking about?

I was just in california and those roads look identical.
It's like I'm there again haha.

Sorry for the lack of updates.

Been real busy with the plants. And I had a mishap with my computer, which you can read about here. - I spilled a full glass of water into my computer!

It also doesn't help that I made a fresh batch of Wax. :eyesmoke:

Now that my computer is working again I'll answer a few questions and get some new pics up.

I'm glad you enjoy the pictures.

As far as early veg training - I top them when they are real small. (6in.) Then as space allows I let them bush out. Once they are in the ground I keep tying out the tallest branches and try and keep the tops even. When the horizontal space starts getting filled up, I let it grow upwards, while keeping tops even as much as possible.

There was no special mountain I was talking about. Just 'a' mountain in the Sierra foothills.

I think I'm over feeding, with my teas. Once or twice a month is enough you think? your stuff looks great, and I'm still learning, but you do alot of the same stuff I do, but I've been feeding them teas like twice a week! I should cut that back huh?
BTW all i8s lookn' good there bud keep it up.
