Popo's Seed Strain, 1st grow!

yum yum. christmas is around the corner.

HAHA, dude, so can you tell if this is crappy seeds from Mexico weed, or is this a good strain. Or do I just need to smoke it to find out? I just want to dry a piece out and smoke some of it already.

2 out of 9 clones are dieing. Not sure why. And these little ones are the one dieing off. Funny thing is, they were the first to show roots. You would have thought they would have showed growth the fastest. I guess not.

Any idea on saving them. I put one under the dome, thinking it would come back with humidity, but its getting worse. The larger ones are growing well now.

My T5 came in. Now I need to set it up. Maybe that will get the clones going better.

if you're treating them exactly the same, it's possible there was some root damage. that second one was cut too close to begin with. i would spray the leaves a couple times a day and make sure not to overwater. Because the pots are so big and the roots so small, it's pretty easy to water too frequently.

Thanks, will give it a shot. Its getting hotter in the garage too, so the fan blowing hot air could have done it too

Got my space set aside for my Veg room. Here is my new setup. A T5 2 foot 8 bulb fixture. Now they should grow much faster and root well!

For some reason, I fill up my jugs of RO water at a grocery store, and keep recycling there trash for growing...

Should I lower the light more? Someone said 8 bulbs is way too much light, but at the current height I think it should do just fine. What u guys think?

I snapped some pics of all the clones. I want to see a difference this light has on them...

My guess is, there growth should double if not triple the rate. That old T12 2 bulb can go back to the shop bench now!

how're those clones that were on the ropes?

One is def dead. The other, looks like the dead one did a few days back. So I gave up on both. Thats fine, only the strong survive. I still have 7 solid clones showing new leaf growth. So my next harvest will have 7 mothers. I should get about 2 ounce at the least I would think.

Its been really simple and laid back watching the flower cycle. No problems in a long time. My experience is finally paying off.

Let me know what you guys think. Based on the pics, what week would you harvest at? Im 80% leaning towards week 11. Cause my vacation and all.

Looks good Dewey! Have you ever thought about letting the plant dry up while you are gone? I did it as an experiment once, and liked the result. I had a left over plant that wanted some extra time, but had no space for it...So I gave it a big watering, shuved it into a low light "florescent" area, took off for awhile "a week or so" and when I came back I had a almost dried plant waiting for me....trimming sucked ass, but the nugs were well finished, and cured up very nicely....Just a thought to put into your pipe...

Yea Cea, Im going to have it auto water while gone and stop at 11 weeks and that is when I get back, then manicure them and dry. And smoke some bud.....

My clones are starting to show some real nice new growth. There are already mutli feature colas......Will post an update on the clones and Bud in a few days.

I am running out of weed, and leave in a week, so I decided to cut 2 very small buds, to be dried out and smoke before I leave.

Plus I wanted to test it out before I leave in case a disaster happens when I get back. Im not counting on it, I just want to try some of my home grown before I leave.....

Right now, I threw them in the toaster oven that I have to heat them up very little, and will do this several time in the next few days. Then place in Jar and burp twice a day for a few days and smoke before I leave...... Any advice for curing them. All I have done is clip the green leafs out. Never done this before.....

Are you asking about curing your harvest, or the few nugs you cut off? I trim kind of lightly myself, only trimming the leaf tips of highly resinous leaf. I see you picked up NGW shears, they kind of piss me off! You have to keep them pretty clean to operate efficiently, and adjust the pivot screw often unless you clean them up with alcohol often.Get yourself a pair of nice fiskers, and you will be doing yourself a big favor in the long run. I have alot to say about curing, so if you need help hit me up...
