Popcorn buds?

My Bubba Kush is covered in popcorn buds.
Been told this is not necessarily a good thing. All those popcorn buds have taken away from the growth on the top buds.
At least that is what I've been told.
But, if I feed the plant plenty of food and give the plant plenty of light, how does growth here affect growth over there? Wouldn't the plant just...grow?

Right as I put them under 12/12 light, they got all the undergrowth trimmed or pinched off. Perhaps the 6 inches from the ground up was bald when I was done.
So most of it grew after the pinching.

Of the plants growing now, only the Bubba kush did this. the sativa heavy didn't regrow from the balding they got.
Today, a week from harvest.

Your idea of plenty of food and plenty of light may differ from the plants. Did you cut the big leaves off? It's impossible to answer from looking at a pic. Looks like you'll have some seeds to try again though.

BK does that. I thought it was the P load I was giving it. Sheet just pops out the bare stalk randomly.
Gawd I hate B bud trimming.

IDK for a BK in DWC that plant looks small. BK is a beast from seeds unless veg was short or something.

That plant has had some problems, some serious stress

Here is the whole plant. It is 4 months plus a couple days. Plan: 2 grow/2 plus a week flower.
I pulled off the leaves off the bottom of it before flowering it.
I thought it was happy, not stressed. It did get a touch of nute burn as I tried to figure out what it wanted to eat, backed off the nutes at that point, but that was early on. It will yield the expected amount, never had a leaf color issue or dropped leaves off it. No bugs or other...
It can't be more than a few days from ready, I'm thinking next week, early.
