poor babies

i was wondering if anyone may be able to help me out, here are my babies 1 week old, i used regular potting soil, added about 20% perlite and 1 tablespoon lime to the soil, they are in one gallon pots. watered once with tapwater that sat out open 48 hrs. what could be the prob??

I would say nut. burn from perlite the or the lime. who long is the day cycle?

its on 24hrs. using 4 4' fluoros 4 inches from plant.

did you flush the soil with plenty of water before planting?

many potting soils with the added ferts are 'hot', they may burn young plants

no, i sure didnt flush the soil. do you think it would be wise to do now?

it's tough to say precisely, a light flush might not hurt

the damage may already be done, and the plants may recover and move on

flushing was one of the few things i did right in my 1st grow, but went downhill from there
