Polyembryonic Cannabis Seed

A recent planted seed ...Canuk Bruce Banner X Canuk L.A.Confidential .......it has 2 sprouts come out .Time will tell if the larger sprout turns out more motherlike clonelike trait and the smaller has more mixed/father traits....At about 6inches is the transplant time for separating the young fragile roots into 2 upsized pots

24hs light , 6000-6500K ,in home mixed cococoir pearlite peat sandy soil with growdots only...the Canuk LA Confidential was the mother of the Canuk BruceBanner breeding .

Looks like 4 days behind the other in development .

They are both having to compete against one another in the same cup for root space and nourishment. It would be better to separate them earlier, before the roots get entangled. You don’t wanna wake up to some Cain and Able type incident.

By bending the big twin over gives the littler one all the light now for some more days ..Dont want to tear them apart yet as the littler one is behind forming more fast growing roots yet for its more vigorous transplant .Theres no battle for nourishment given start growdots /recharge also weeks later some earthjuice microblast/canna terravega ..Iv done many 2 seeded potted transplanted starts to mainly root out males or a unwanted phenos without any rooted issues upsizing pots as needed , also finding an auto to grow together with a photo works well as the auto finishes 1st .. Doing 2 different strains together 1 pot never showed well from my experience......It might be a male that ends up tallest if kept, but more likely both female from a twin sproutings..or the less likely is the tall one is male ,lol, in time this thread still going will tell what the very rare twin sprouted bn had in the genetics....They started in my mix of cococoir/potting soil with recharge and growdots.

Today is the last pic of them from the same seed (LAC X BruceBanner) in the same starter cup...they will be separated apart today into upsized felt pot with 1/2 my cococoir mix and 1/2 primal earth living soil...keeping them in the same upsized pot to find if they are both females.

Separation is a success into a fabric pot with its twin and another same strain.

I had some twins many Years back now. I tried to separate them pretty early and the small on didn’t make it. However, I ended up using the plant that survived for a breeding project because it was really impressive. In the end there was about 4-5 twins out of 30 or so seeds that have been grown from that project. So it seems it may be genetic.

Thats far out Thundercat in you seeing more than 1 dbl sprouting bn ,as its the only 1 Iv ever experienced . Did you use a same strain male in breeding the bns that genetically passed on the dbl sprouters ?

No, it was a different male. The twin plant came out of a “C99” seed from the company FemaleSeeds. It was one of 4 I popped and I didn’t even clone it until it first started flower. The clone took root, but would never fully reveg properly after several months. So I said fuck it and just flowered it small and I used a male “Thin Mint Cookies” from SinCity Seeds for the cross.

the offspring turned out a nice mix of the parent genetics. I ran a one of the plants for a couple years because it was very similar to the mother.

Was the twins you got same size as they developed or did 1 come out days later ? Coming up days later and tearing off transplanting has put it behind developing slower 1-2wks behind.

Mine have always come up at the same time but there has always been one that is noticeably smaller and weaker.

After a week transplanted ripped roots their both just off yet settling in nute ph somewhat but another week should be greener again,noticably the one smaller and weaker and both showing the same transplant stress..Theyl both be alone in the felt pot as the other also LACxBruceBanner is showing early male already planted same time as the other polyembryonic bn .

A helping of magnesium/sulphur and recharge to help them back greener and already rooting in better.

Now after some time since ripping young tangled roots apart and plant yellowing from the stressful transplant with its twin sister . LACxBruceBanner polyembryonic seedling looking like the largest is female..but maybe the slowstarter is going male.

This week the LACxBruceBanner polyembyonic twins are rooting in well in the same felt pot the other turned male was recently culled . In transition to bloom now . Decided not to keep the male, for possible backcross maybe but its just not at a good time yet outside spring is still cold starting yet , so just staying tented to bloom a little early but in good time with others in the tent.

It turned male......the second starter smaller polyembryonic twin is a male . A rare LACxBruceBanner male is very interesting to keep its pollen for future use..dont need bns but its a rare type that might have wonderful good genetics to use...

The smaller male is gone and the 1st out twin has begun to bloom . The main stem is bent over and other budsites are developing .
