one of my month old plants seems to have small buds forming, new branches are just coming out so I dont know if it is just that or if my plant is a male. the lights are still on 18/6 so im confused. I wish i could post pics but my camera died.

It may be male flowers. I have female flowers pop up all the time in veg. Usually only two per node. I would just wait it out and be sure.

just look for 2 little pistils hairs sticking out , if none wait a bit but if they start clustering into little balls you have a boy, if it is male get rid of it unless you want to pollenize

me thinks he may be referring to the lil 'spike thingies' to the left of those pollen sacks there. I was curious myself when i first saw them then just figured they were new leaves sprouting. are these the 'nodes'?

okay well one of them has one sack and 3 other small ones that are growing so I belive that this plant is a male, which saddens me that I will have to destroy it because at first it was the worst looking plant now it is one of the best looking plants. Any remarks before I destroy my little friend?

As soon as you see the hairs you know its a lady. If they are girls you can put them into flower at any age, although the size of the plant when put into 12/12 will obviously effect your final plant size and yield.
I have put 1-2 week old seedlings into flower b4 and an experiment and got a fair crop from them, even when they were root bound in tiny pots.
