pollinating

Hi guys..Quick question.Is it possible to start light cycle of 12/12 and go straight to pollinating for seeds? Or better off veg for a while?

You can do what you are asking but the results would be less than impressive. What are you trying to accomplish exactly?

I hade wanted to just do a seed run and had read somewhere that 12-12 immediately they would go straight to flower and cut down time alot.

It will work good for a seed run.

I usually wait 'til 25 to 29 days into flowering to pollinate a 60-70 day flowering plant. That way the seeds will be ready by the time the plant is ready for harvest. I've never had helathier seeds from doing that.

Great. I appreciate it. What is the average number of seeds you get? Any tips on picking 2 favorite strains and crossing them? Or each branch a different strain??

Nowadays I just shoot for 40-80 per plant so most harvest potential from the same plant is retained. I don't do much breeding but I know finding a good male is key. I like my males stout, pungent, fast growing and most of all -has to be smokable for a nice preview. My favorite cross has got to be the unknown White widow/super skunk(F) X Jack the Ripper(M).

I think having different strains on each branch is great idea. I should try try that! Thanks!
