Whats the best way to remove it and how long will it stay active if some is left behind? Would a hepafilter help?

if you don't get it out before its released you are going to have a hard time. the pollen can stay active for years, and while your filter will clean it out of the air it will still be all over the room. you probably would have to empty the room and clean it with bleach to be 100% sure. if you catch it before its released, you can simply cut off the balls.

You just beat me on this post. I was just about to ask the same question. Everything I have seen is about storing pollen for long periods. It looks like it will stay around for a while if stored properly. But I have seen conflicting reports on just plain pollen anywhere from 3-5 days(because it is susuptable to mold) to months. I really am curious too. Any expert opinions greatly appreciated.
