This is a grow house under regular infrared. As soon as I can find flir I will post it.

This is the best example Ive been able to find on flir. This is a dual bulb setup inside back to back grow tubes. Also there are different systems/combinations of flir and infrared that are simply more powerful and able to see thru walls
See thru walls ?? Seriously u paranoid pusses not happening these cameras pickup heat only, they cannot see thru walls.

If you keep your temps around 76 degrees or less it's good for your plants and would greatly reduce the risk of looking suspicious.

But seriously, you should chill, there are a million and a half reasons to have higher temps that have nothing to do with growing dope; computer servers, Bitcoin mining, coffee roasting, cooking, growing vegetables (people do that), various construction phases, a furnace, etc.

Police helicopters probably aren't flying around shining infrared cameras at your house, and even if they are, a hot spot doesn't prove shit.

Barry Cooper is a douche bag. And he was never anybody special. But his video of the fake grow and calling the cops is hilarious. And a FLIR is very real btw.. one light your good, but blown out houses should always take cation

my room stays @ 72-75f, and lights exhaust out the building, (carbon filtered) thru a simple dryer duct style vent, leaves @ 90f.....

yes they still use choppers for this and no they cannot see your HID bulbs lol. what they can see and what they are looking for is particular rooms in a house or building that is significantly warmer than the rest. look up some pic and vid of FLIR footage. so much false info about FLIR out there lol....

STE147 you should be fine with your chimney setup and try to make sure your grow room or better yet the room your grow room is in is somewhat close to the same temps as the rest of the house or building and you'll be fine.
Use a room that has no external walls, or a basement

As soon as I find the picture of one with the 4 bright red spots seen thru a houses roof I will post it. The stronger the system the more penetration. You wont see the actual shape of the bulb, however its much more detailed than just a bright red wall distinctively showing you 4 hot spots
Except FLIR doesn't penetrate. Nor do infrared cameras. They RECEIVE light from the surface of the structure

That there is what gives you away. A hot exhaust shows up like a big red flag on an infrared camera.

worry about your electric company wondering why your electricity skyrocketed and is staying there, also can see what times a day most power is used if they see a on/off at 8am and 8pm well, they dont need a helicopter to tell what you're doing.

So is this something us small scale guys need to be worried about? I mean, where I live, there are a lot of older mobile homes. In the winter, people use space heaters like they are going out of style. Hell, I'm huddled up next to one right now. I would think the ghetto birds would have a hard time deciphering between a 1500 watt space heater and a 1000w hps setup. yes no? Seems to me the randomness of the heaters going on and off would also obscure anything the electric company might notice. That's what I'm banking on anyway.
