Just saw one in a video today. They were tumbling with dry ice. Then they performed some type of static technique to clean it up. Doesn't seem too complicated. Definitely would need decent screening material.

We made one of these growing up.
Used a bbq rotisserie, plexiglass discs on ends with wood backing.
3 arrow head shafts with threaded rod inside to hold it together.
Wrapped with micron screen like the trim bin out there.
We then used black plexiglass for the tray it falls on.
Slick as all get out.

Same idea just a bit smaller there handy imo proper dry sift always beats bubble you can also work it more then heat and press it using a wine bottle filled with hot water or something like it frenchy cannoli has some great videos on YouTube doing this trust me the decarb and pressing makes a massive difference as well skip the dry ice you will just end up with more plant matter in it if you use that according to him

Im sure once u got it down ul love it ive converted all my mates into doing it with there trim as its closest we get to the good import stuff without the darknet and when we all started smoking hash was almost all you seen here and id say its definitely more versatile than edibles cos as you said there longer lasting cos 11-Hydroxy-THC is at play when u smoke you get hardly any but with edibles you get alot more of this this is more potent than regular thc delta9 thats why edibles are more long lasting
