POG day 38 - almost ready?!?

This is my second grow. Pot of Gold is supposed to take 56-70 days, but to my untrained eyes these babies look just about ready. Trichomes look mostly cloudy with some light amber, but I don't have enough experience to judge.

Like a lot of folks, I'll be travelling over the holidays - was planning on harvesting first week of January when I got back, but it looks like that will be too late. Should I harvest before I go on 12/23?

And why would these plants be mature so early?

Any advice?

They will fill in like crazy the last 2 weeks. They probably are soft some what. They will get rock hard. They really put on the weight in the last 2 weeks.

OK, 2 weeks it is, thanks for the advice! I guess I harvested my first grow too early - I'll bet everyone does though!

Aint that the truth. You are going to be so glad you waited.

Take a popcorn bud off and smoke it if ya have to.

Thanks for the kind words.

I had a lot of challenges on this grow - the clones sat too long before I was able to pot them, and got kind of yellow and unhealthy, so I had a longer veg to let them get healthy before flowering. Then came the mites... and then the nutrient deficiencies... so overall I am very happy with how they are turning out.

OK, a week has passed, and I'm glad I waited - gonna wait a little more - at least a week, maybe more? I've been feeding Canna Bio Flora. Should - should I start flushing, or can I go longer with organic nutes?

Compare to a week ago:

Details: Foxfarm soil, Bio Canna series, 1k HPS.

I'd wait 5 more days, and start flushing. Its roughly 2 months (60 days) for usual bloom. Your leeching will last about 10 days. When you start leeching (flushig) cut your nutes by 65%. Then next watering with only 5%. The smoke will be super smooth after you cure your shit. looks great too! Did you add any bud boosters? if you did stop now.

Thanks for the suggestions and complements! I fed a couple of times with GH Liquid Cool Bloom - wanted to stay organic and with Canna's line, but their Bio-boost is just ridiculously expensive. To tell the truth I didn't seem to feed that much during bloom - I got the temperature under control, 70-75, and the soil stayed moist, and they just didn't seem to need a lot of water; maybe once ever 5 days or so.

My friends are saying harvest before I go away on the 23rd - there have been a lot of problems around here with mildew and fungus - better an early harvest than none at all.

Still don't know what I'm gonna do - probably harvest on the 22nd, otherwise I'll worry about mold the week that I'm away.
