Ok so after a few early cuttings, an autopsy revealed some skanky PM much to my dismay. Im not even mad at my girls, just disapointed.

So with the buds ive been doing an experiment with a baking soda solution (1 tsp per gallon) and a peroxide solution (1 part to 1 part water) (both reported toxins to PM) and diped the buds in either or and some in both. IDK it seems to controll the puky smell of PM but its not stripping it off really.

Ok so i sprayed my whole grow room down with a heavy BS and peroxide solution to kill any spores chilling around.

I also foliar sprayed my plants with the BS solution (1 tsp per gallon)

I also killed exaust to raise temps to the upper 90's to dehumidify obviously.

REALLY wish i had some pics to share but i just dont have a camera damnet.

SOOO what else would you do? Would you just throw them back to Veg and grow um out untill the problem is cured?

blah pm is a bastard an leads to whole bud rot if not put in check...a solution of sodium bicarbonate an water will clear the problem up....sulphur burners also work but shouldn't be used past week 3 flowering....after 4 weeks you really should spray anything on the buds...as it can affect them..but i also know that sometimes things must be done to save a crop...dont smoke any buds that have pm an it's incredibly bad for you....any part of a plant that is showing pm past week 6 should be cut out so there's less of a chance of full rot an other plants getting it....high temps an humidity cause more pm...so do large temp swings...ie day temp 80's while night temp 60's..with an rh of 40% or more this is perfect pm spawning ground....using fans to keep air moved help's but in the same breath can cause the spores to affect other plants....like mites pm is a bitch an must be put in check asap or you'll have more of it every grow...az

So as far as temps, AZ your saying that cranking the temp up to 95 degrees and it droping to say 60 degrees is worse for PM than keeping temps at 80 and having them drop to 60??? Hmmmm

I wont try to smoke any PM buds, it taste like ass squirt, yuk!

But yeah man where can i get this sodium bicarbonate? and how do i apply it?????

you shouldn't have a 20 degree temp swing from day to night...if this is what your growroom is doing this is why your having pm issue's....your grow room should only be mid 70's in the day an lower 70's at night...only minimal swings should occur....az

MM, the baking soda only works as a fungistat... it raises the surface pH of whatever it dries upon. However, as a fungistat, it prevents germination & does absolutely nothing for the infected areas. It is not a fungicide... it will not kill the PM. BTW, the peroxide will chemically burn what it comes into contact with but will do so quickly... it will not kill what is inside the plant, nor the spores. Usually it only adds moisture to the area & increasing the root problem... which is your humidity. If you want to address the PM, first drop your humidity to below 50%, constant... no spikes at night or the like & best to be in the low 40's. Second, increase your day time temps to 80F as PM cannot grow in temps this high... it needs 76F or lower. Temp drops at night cause humidity spikes & allows for the PM to continue it's growth. The only other possibility is the use of an actual chemical fungicide like chlorothanolil, or however one spells it. Peace.

Ok i ended up just putting them back to 24/0 and cut all the large buds. I hve heard of a everclear method which will kill the PM and wipe it out...

Ok so i have a probably 2 OZ of beutiful, sticky buds. What if i soak them all in a Baking soda solution? This should atleast help maintain it right?

IS THERE ANY SOLUTION I CAN DIP THEM IN TO STRIP THE PM??????

NO (period). You've just got one of the most important lessons I ever did... you go to whatever measures necessary to avoid it's possible germination/growth. Once you get a problem with it, you're fucked. Sorry brother, almost made me cry. Peace.
