Growing outdoors can I just put seedlings outside from the get go or do I need to keep them indoors for a couple weeks before transplanting.

Has anyone ever went straight to the ground with seedlings outside? I don't want to waste a couple hundo on seeds and make a stupid mistake. -Thanks

You can go straight to ground with your seeds, but you will reduce the chances that the seed will sprout. Best to germinate and then give the seedling a good start before taking it out of doors. Best to try to improve your odds of getting a good grow.

if youre spending a couple hundred $$$ on seeds then you want to veg those girls until they have AT LEAST 4-6 nodes/5-8" tall before you put them outside.

My problem is I don't have an indoor place to let them grow for a couple of weeks.

Thats why I was asking if it would be a major problem to germinate and then go straight to outside.

lol hey buddy mother nature knows what she doing. germinate the seed. prepair your ground where you want to plant.i do both inside and out, on my out side, ill turn up the ground and mix in some other compost into the dirt them i plant, this way i dont half to give any nutes for a while. nutes are already in the compost that i mix in the dirt. and let her go. good luck

you could germinate and put em straight outside. but your mortality rate is gonna be pretty high unless youre on it every day. the bigger they are before you put them out the more chances of survival they have. but like CUTMAN said......mother natures been doing this for a couple seasons........she knows whatsup.
