I have searched all over for the answer to my problem and i can not seem to find a straight answer.

My plant (Papaya) is starting to get patches of yellow on the leaves, she is on day 12 of vegging and she is still on water.

The soil i used was just from a grow bag for tomatoes which i believe should contain the right nutrients and she was re-poted yesterday.

Any input would be great.

Smokey

*Edit* She is under a 400 watt hps and that is around 2.5 foot off the plant. Do you guys think this is heat exhaustion?

If that soil is of decent quality, the plant will fix itself, so I wouldn't add any nutes for a week or two. Let nature do it's thing, and it'll start looking better in a few days. :)

Looks like heat issues to me? Are you exhausting your grow space? What are your temps with the lights on?

@ Jawbrodt - I dont intend on feeding them until there is a good 5-6 set of adult leaves on there :)

@ g00sEgg - Temps are hitting a maximum of 28.9 degrees and a mimum of 22.4 over the past 24 hours and ventillation is good.

I think i might raise the light a foot away and see what effect that has.

check your PH levels and make sure the ligts arnt too close =)
sup alxel, i agree; what is your Ph?

and leafs point up like that when heat stressed. what kind of light are you using? hps? probably if your moving it a whole foot

Thanks for the input everyone :) It is appreciated.

Ph in the soil is around the 6.5 mark and the water i use is around 6.2 after it has been left for 24 hours in the grow room.

I agree with the light, I will raise it and look for streching then adjust slightly until i reach the optimum level.
Fingers crossed that helps :) It is a 400watt hps. The heat doesnt feel too hot on the back of my hand where it is now BUT i am going to move the light regardless to see if that has any impact.

Cheers
