this was my first attempt at growing *sorry for no pics* but i was growing in 5 gallon buckets using scotts hyponex potting soil, i started off with 5 plant but 4 died from too much rainfall in my area and i have 1 plant left. i live in ct and i first started my plant early may and the one plant i have left is only about a foot and a half tall, with very skinny stems and the lowest set of leaves keep on turning yellow and slowly dying

some things to note are:
*i did not put pebbles on the bottom of the bucket for extra drainage
*my plant is only getting about 4 hours of DIRECT light each day is that enough?
*i am using bagseeds i got of some mids (could that be the whole reason?)

any help that i could get i would highly appreciate!

Do the buckets have holes in the bottom for drainage? I have some in buckets and do not have rocks but there are 8 half inch holes in the bottom and are not flat on the ground. Outside you have to take what you can get with the sunlight. Do the best you can. I have to deal with trees, so I only get a few hours of direct sunlight a day too but it works.

Cut some holes in the bottom of the bucket if you think the soil is waterlogged. You should be able to tell by the weight if you pick it up.

You need more sunlight. That is the main reason for tall lanky pale growth.
