Hello everyone,
Trying to figure out why the little ladies looking sick. Room humidity a week ago was low 30% corrected it to 50%; thinking the low humidity was causing a low intake of cal-mg. Been over a week and no improvement.
Here is info on the room.
DWC - aeroponics
pH : 5.8
ppm: 700@ec700
Room Temp: 27C
Water Temp: 23C
Humidty: 50%
Lights: 1000watt MH
Light distance: 2ft

I top off every 2 days or when the level of the water drops 2" from my mark. I premix the top off with plain tap water with 100ppm or 1/4 strength of calmg and pH it 5.8.

How often do you change out the water or do you just top off? Excess topping off with a small res can lead to nutrient imbalance. I would let the water level drop 3/4 of the total solution and then just change it out.

Also when using tap water you shouldn't need much calmag, excess calmag can cause other nutes to lock out. Just a thought.

Yeah excess nutes tend to lock out other nutes, hope you can get it fixed. Try a little less calmag, changing it out weekly is a good thing, I'd just do less top offs or no added calmag on top ups and see if that helps, if your pH is accurate that shouldn't be the issue

Couple of questions. In that 2 day period what does your ppm and ph do? rise go lower etc. When was the last time you calibrated your ph and ppm device?
I had some plants that looked exactly like yours, pretty healthy looking, good white roots but with that same discoloration pattern on the leaves. I was running 350 ppm at the time and had my lights turned down to 375w. I upped the nutrients thinking that it was a lack of nitrogen/ferts to 650 ppm and upped my lamps to 500w and in about 2 weeks it was pretty much gone. I was told that red stems sometimes mean lack of nitrogen. I had quite a few red stems as well. Hell they may still be red, but the leaf pattern is gone.
Not sure I helped you at all, but was familiar with what your leafs looked like. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.
