Please help! Plumbing issue

Hey I know this is kind of off topic but we recently lost water to our house, the pump is hooked to a well, I've tried priming, but the issue is theres no water pressure. The jet pump still works... There's another submersible pump about 10 yards away it goes directly into the well and it isn't working anymore. However I don't think the two pumps are connected... Any advice or solutions is much obliged!

Try a DIY Forum on the web under plumbing topic.

If it is bad - it could be the well head pump in the ground blew.

If you tried to prime and you know how to prime then you probably need to call a plumb/pump guy Any cold weather issues?

You need a new pump or new wiring. If the wires aren't in a pipe going to the well.. whenever the pump clicks on the wires twist. So they are hitting the stone in the ground.. roots and just rubbing wears them down. Take a voltage meter and check the wires before they go into the ground. If you got power there you know what the issue is.. the wires or the pump. Rent a pump puller and you'll save a whole lot of money

I think the jet pumps are mounted in the well house and are only capable of pumping 26' is what I was told, if the pump still works it may be a lack of water in the well. Best of luck :-)

lol i didnt even notice it said jet..a jet though it can go as far as 200ft

No shit, I've got one to in my system. I use our well pump to fill a 2500 gal. Tank where solids settle and a little sulfur smell off gases. Then the jet pump fills our pressure tank. The old owner said he spent thousands on filters before coming up with this design.

I just noticed op was in October, oh well hope he got it figured out

As long as it lasts.. most pumps only come with a 3 year warranty. I noticed how old it was too today. I originally responded sitting in traffic lol

I think it was only 300$, but yep no free lunch still have to pump twice. That's just for the house though all of the yard, garden and orchard are directly off of the well.

Yeah we got her up an runnin again the landlady had to call up the plumbers and she paid them 80 dollars to turn on a switch basically! I feel like a damn fool i thought it was the pressure switch or somthing i guess it was a outside shut-off braker Lmao but that pump is ancient about 15yrs still going strong...
Thanks for all the input and advice! Be easy stay high!
