I am totaly new to all this and on thight budget but I want cob grow...so how can I do that without paying for driver...

I am guessing that without driver , individual cob must be take to the main source without parrallele with other cob then its safe...Am I right ?

So what driver (meanwell modell) do I need if I want do diy cob 50w....

And I m guessing if I want 2 diy cobs I can get either x2 stronger driver or I can diy with 2 driver for 50 w and not parralel

If you are buying 5 COBs, then why not use all 5?

You can run 5 of them wired parallel to one HLG-185H-36A. ~37 watts each = ~185w total. Better efficiency, and better light dispersal too.

You'll need a heat sink for each COB, or one that is big enough to mount all COBs and dissipate about 100 watts of heat.

I am planning the same build, but I will be using a 1/4" x 3.5" x 2.5 ft. copper bus bar (flat bar) to mount all the COBs - then I will put 2 very good quality heat sinks on top of the copper bus bar. I may not need fans, but I have some. I am using these parts because I have them.
