I grow in the same size tent.I get vg results with < 130w, but they are the right watts.

Too many manufacturers really do not understand how to select & blend diodes

I do not recommend just one panel, unless you plan to SCROG

Check out www.astirgrows.com He's located in Greece

I would bet his panel will perform >2Xs better than the ones you posted

thanks a lot, I´ll take a look at em, and yes I do plan a scrog with two plants, but I also have a 6 Tube T5HO Fixture so I can start em out/veg a bit under em so I will mostly fill the screen and flower with the LED

4 footers? If so, that's all you need. Have you checked out my thread? 2 tents, one leds, the other HOT5s

nop, its a 5 footer :D

got em for free at work ;)

our electrician was about to throw em out !!!! 3 fixtures with 2 bulbs in each all the HO type, was "broken" the plastic around em, out outdoor light at work, was pretty happy when I split em apart to discover it was the T5HO type (as we use T8 58W indoors at the factory)

DSC00406.jpgDSC00408.jpg

just had to buy new 6500K bulb for em, tho have 2 new 2700K mixed in as well, works great each bulb is on 49W and provide 4650 Lumens

and sure I would like to take a look at your thread, just post a link please, just wasted 10 min. searching for it

Those will work but in my experience you want more coverage area(larger emitter spacing/ spread) with quality leds to get great results and lower power demand.

best panels in EU for the money:

http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow.html buy two == save $$$ and it will cover a 4x2

http://plantphotonics.com/our_lights.html two 70watt panels or whatever you choose will do well cause of the high quality emitters(built like a tank)

Both well designed and will last for years with no worries..........happy shopping

Slip, let me know what you end up with. I'm seriously thinking about investing in leds to remove the heat factor from my grows. I just don't want to lose the performance I'm getting from the 400w hps and mh setup in my 2 X 3 X 10 closet. Trade-offs?

I'm also looking at Petflora and the led threads on here for advice. Just like every other aspect of growing mj, there seems to be a lot of misinformation on leds out there.

I will, and I have been thinking at it from the start, mostly Bc. of the use of power, but the heat factor (specially at summer time) is also a concern, got a bit of Tax money back this year, so finally have the money to invest, have a month to do some research before the money is in the bank, and would like to go down the right track from day one, all Im looking for is sumthing that can scrog 2x4 ft with about the same result as a 400W MH/HPS, kind a down scaling from my 600W HPS set up but will take a lot less room and make a lot less noise and cost a lot less to run/maintain, and you know its allways possible to upscale agin ;) next year if I get more Tax money back :D and get another LED fixture

I have ordered two of those Hans Panels , from Amsterdam sent all the way to Australia. Packaged excellent and arrived in one piece about 8 working days later. Very quick. They are a tidy little unit too.

what's your budget for the light?

I have a budget on about 500 Euro might be able to push it to 600 but that will be max with shipping aso.

my aim is to switch out my 600W HPS for flowering, to safe power and heat/safety, have a nice 6 bulb 5 ft (yes 5 ft got it for free) T5HO fixture full of new 6500K bulbs (27,500 Lumens) for Veg.

I dont mind the end result being closer to a 400W HPS all I want to do is to cover a 2x4 ft space maybe Scorg style or similar (a lot of LST) and grow 1-4 plants

Im wondering if Im better off getting two 180W fixtures and let each cover 2x2 Ft and keep em close to the plants or get a 300W and keep it father away to cover it all ? agin Im a Nub when it comes to LED and the light cover and penetration

ok I just ordered a 8 spot Bulldog LED light from Fero (469€ with free shipping)

http://www.feroledeurope.com/newsite/product/bulldog-8-spot-led-grow-light/

have a nice online chat, I talked to "Stacy" nice and very helpfull, and I got em to customize it for me, as I will use it to replace my 600W HPS and still want too use my T5HO for Veg. I made em build it for flowering specific

hope the ratio they suggested is spot on ? she had a talk with her colleagues (they claim they are growers and not sales personal and the light is made for weed) and came back with this suggestion:

for each of the 8 spots I get 15 LEDs

4x 640nm
4x660nm
2x630nm
1x620nm
1x700nm
2x cool white 6500K
1x blue 455nm

a total of 120 Epistar 3W Led`s 256 actual watt draw, should cover 60x80 Cm I hope it can do a job close to a 400W HPS, might buy another in the future if Im happy with it ..

I'm real interested in seeing your results. I have a 400Mh/HPS right now and would love to move to led in the future, maybe by my next grow.

I want to see results before laying out the cash, so grow Slip, grow!

lol I will, looking forward to get it, she said 10 days since I had it customized so I count on 10 work days (14 days) lets see is shipped from the UK to Denmark (1 hrs flight)

seems like a legit company, nice set up, nice online help and if there claim is correct its made and run by growers so I have high hopes also since they are a bit pricy, but wanted one from the start, but also did my research who told me to use the money to get a quality one as the cheap once is a wast of money and can only grow low light plants like herbs or sumthing
but seems like the technology is beginning to kick trough if you keep the expectations realistic, watt to watt it should blow HID lights away so 120X3W = 360W (that draw 256 actually watt) should give me results close to 400W I recon, also since it will be made for flowering as I use my T5HOs for Veg. so all/most of the LEDs is with in the flowering spectrum

main reason why I would like this is that its more stealthy (heat/power use) and also safe you money in the long run, less heat to fight and better Par light should give you more healthy plants and therefor better quality Buds (I hope)

as I understand its the light converges that lack a bit, might give results like a 400W but dont cover as much "ground" but I only grow for personal use anyway and as I can Veg with my T5s at the same time (I did`t with the 600W running) I can harvest twice as often, so 1-4 plants at the time will be fine for me

acctualy it wont take that long, already have a few Femi LSD from Barney`s in Veg under my T5HOs

DSC01338.jpgDSC01341.jpg

about 17 days old from seed, so I recon they will be ready for flowering in 3-4 weeks time will be grown in air pots in my own organic SS only useing molasses/epsom salt and guano tea`s if necessary ..
