Please help me ASAP

Hey first time growing I just snapped a plant right at the base of main stem just above the clay balls in the pot is it repairable please help ASAP thankyou do you think this work I’ve cut the stem and top of the root at a 45 angle wrapped tape round then put the sponge round and tied it tight don’t want to put it back in the setup if will harm the other plants

can you take a pic of the top of it? when you say you cut the stem at 45 degrees it sounds like you cut the top ogf the plant off, sorry if it sounds like a stupid question

Try as you may and it may work. However , I would just make it into a clone and start again from there.

You don't want things dying in the same water your plants are using. You could set yourself up for mass contamination. Not always, but this is something to be aware of. One of the reasons I prefer run to waste systems.
