Not sure what it is this time. A week ago they were perfectly healthy. And loving life. I had a gnat issue so i let the soil dry out, used bti dunks, neem oil and diatomaceous earth. Knocked out the gnats and then this happened. I just transplanted from 3 gal smart pots to 7 gal smarties. They are in slightly amended fox farms ocean forest. I use dechlorinated tap water ppm about 50, earth juice naturals ph down(citric acid crystals) to get the ph from about 8 to between 6-7. I hit em with alaska fish fert at 1/4 strength and a neem oil foliar about 10 days ago. Top dressed with neem, kelp, crab and oyster shell. Like a tbsp of each. Then an inch or 2 layer of ewc. I started using garden safe(brand) insecticidal soap in case of any other bugs im not seeing. Temps got up to 84 the other day while i was gone so i thought it was heat stress because a few leaves started to fold up like canoes or tacos but the temps have been fine the past 2 days and its worse now. Thought i might have burned them with the alaska fish fert and top dressings but this doesnt really look like nute burn. Its only 2 out of 3 plants doing this. I have an autoflower going strong looking beautiful and she has gotten everything the same except she is in recycled amended soil from my last run and she didnt get any of the insecticidal soap because she is already flowering. So im thinking maybe its the soap? Im totally lost guys. Heres some pics and thanks in advance.

It does look like spray damage...
Kinda what i was thinking. Also i was thinking it might be a ph issue if its not the soap. I throw some of those earth juice crystals in the water, stir it up and then ph it. Thinking maybe they aren't all the way dissolved yet and then i pour an acid time bomb into the soil? Or is that just me being paranoid? The soap is pretty much the only difference between the healthy plant and the sad plants...

I doubt the earth juice crystals weren't dissolved fully, it's pretty damn soluble. If there was undissolved, it would have left a mad salt crust on the surface of the dirt.

Ive had issues with the specific brand of fish fertilizer but if you used it at 1/4 strength shouldnt be an issue.

Honestly i didnt even read the label lol. I guess i should have read it i just thought it was pretty straighforward lol. I was about to flip em to flower so i sprayed with the soap every couple days just as a preventative measure to kill any bugs/hatchlings that i may not have noticed.

Just got home from work and they're looking rough. One is definitely way worse than the other. Im not sure its the soap because all of the new growth is coming in twisted and rusty. The bottoms of the plants just have a few spots here and there but the tops are really suffering. I sprayed one lower leaf this morning just to see if it burns it and its fine.

Hi OG.

Looks like phosphorus deficiency to me.
But there's so much going on in your soil with amendments. Especially since its ffof, that its likely lockout.
Ph or imbalance going on.

How long ago did they get transplanted?
How good is your drainage?
Did the damage start before, or after you transplanted?

Soap clogging the leaves so they cannot transpire = leaves that cannot transpire so they get hot - leaves then look like the environment is to hot.

Hey tim good to see you're still around lol. I top dressed lightly and used the alaska fish fert before i transplanted. They had been in straight ocean forest with some pumice for 4 weeks with nothing added nutewise, so i figured they had pretty much used up what was in the soil. I transplanted 8 days later into more ocean forest/pumice mix. I transplanted them 2 days ago. My drainage is on point. You really think a tbsp top dress of those amendments is locking em out? I dont wanna flush if i dont have to cuz im trying to build up a lot of soil life.

You hurt that plant....

Here is what I would do.to help it recover...
Take a quarter cup kelp meal and throw it in a bucket.
Boil water and mix a tsp molasses into a cup of the boiled water.
Add a gallon of water to your bucket as well as the cup of molasses water.
Stir it, then put some of that in a spray bottle to spray down the plant, and pour the rest through the roots little by little until it just starts to come out the bottom.

Then find a place where it can get a bit of mild sunlight for a day or two.

Good to see you too man.

I've been doing some google about phosphorus for you. I'll upload the links.

If you truly believe it's not the soap. Then I do think phosphorus is the problem.
What's causing your lockout though. I can't be sure.
I'd check your soil ph first thing.
Had symptoms already started before transferring? (before 10 days ago)
Or started after transplanting?
Watering often?

Hi Tim!
You may already know this but if not I think you will like it.

When I google info on plants I always try adding "edu" on the end.

Google both of these and check it out.

phosphorus deficiency in plants

phosphorus deficiency in plants "edu"
