aight so i started with some bag seed and germinated and such. im pretty bootleg. i had 2 3ft fluros in my basement and got to work. it grew pretty fast at first but when my dad saw(it had its first set of leaves), he turned the soil up and planted some basil or some shit in it. about 3 hours after he did this i went and ripped his plant out and mine was still in it. i replanted and put it back under the lights(rents are chill wit it now). this stunted grwoth horribly. since this is my first grow i over watered but quickly realized this and stopped. if u look at my pics you can see it. its been about 3.5 weeks since. the stems are a reddish/purple color can anyone explain???? and would you advise using miracle grow???? can these tubes work with the whole process??? im debating getting a aerogarden any suggestions??. it has to be able to grow from start to finish in it. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!! i wanna be successful:peace::joint:

1) Fuck Miracle Grow, get yourself some Fax Farm Grow Big and Big Bud. if it's been 3.5 weeks it's about time to start nutes.
2)Those lights aren't going to work. Your plants look starved for light as is. Your definately going to want a 400 HPS for budding and you should think about a MH for veg.
3)Change your display name. You say G-Unit yet still you got your dad regulating? Get real gangsta...

I know, I'm just givin you a hard time man. You'll grow up eventually, but it'll take more smartasses like me calling you out before it happens ;) it's all out of love!

Anyway, you really might have a hard time pulling this off if you need to keep it a complete secret from your dad (who I'm guessing lives with you?). If you really are serious about it though, you're going to need to save up a few hundred bucks, but it'll reward you with tenfold that amount in chronic. You're definately going to need to upgrade lights, it's not worth risking pissing off your folks, the cops, judges, etc. to grow a few grams of bud. Save up your X-Mas money or whatever (you're going to need between $200-$350 to keep the whole thing stealth mode) for a High Pressure Sodium light and a carbon air filter. You'll need the air filter to get rid of the smell of budding plants. THEY WILL STINK AND GIVE YOU AWAY. The air filter can completely get rid of the smell. As far as the lights go, you can stick with what you have just for kicks, but you might as well be growing basil or whatever your dad put in the pots cuz it's not going to give you shit for a yield. The lights have one of the biggest direct impacts on how healthy your plants are. A HPS light will last you for many crops and give you something actually worth smoking.

If you're trying to keep costs down, grow in soil. Besides, it tastes better that way. The only benefit to hydro/aero is that you get better yields and shorter harvest times, but that is absolutely 100% pointless if your plants don't have the light they need in the first place. Scrap the aero to save $$$, get the HPS and some good soil and grow some bud worth smoking. Move up to an ebb and flow or something after you get the lights and know a little bit more about what you're doing.

You either have to take care of those plants or you're going to get frustrated and quit. You're looking for the magic formula that gives spits out QP's and doesn't cost a damn thing, and while that exists, you still got a few more months to wait until you can plant outside. Why does it work outside BECAUSE THEY GET GOOD LIGHT! BAD LIGHT = SHITTY PLANTS! NO WAY AROUND IT! Bare minimum you need a 250w metal hallide. You can use this for both veggin and budding (HPS works better for budding though) but it's cheaper than HPS.

You're heading for one of two endings. Either the "wow I spent $250 and have a never ending supply of chronic buds!" feeling, or the "I spent months working on these little motherfuckers and only got $20 worth of weed!? I suck at life!" feeling. Take your pick. $250 bucks for thousands of dollars worth of weed sounds like a pretty sound investment.

IF YOUR REAL HARDCORE.
And don't want to spend money.
Search around your town for a church or a store that has outdoor lighting fixtures.
They usually have exterior outlets too, inwhich you just unplug and unscrew.
Bam instant free lights.
But don't get caught.
lol

1. High Pressure Sodium Lamp (600 watt is the most efficient but a 400 watt may suit a smaller space).
2. Fan running 24 hours a day if possible and oscillating.
3. Pots, trays and chosen growing medium. 50% potting compost 50% Perlite is a basic mix. Raise the pots in the trays with bricks or bits of wood so they don`t sit in a puddle when watered.
4. 24 hour timer to control light periods. This should be used with a high power switch known as a contactor or relay switch as grow lamps can easily burn out regular timers used on their own.
5. A pH tester to test water and nutrient feed solutions.
6. pH adjuster such as phosphoric acid to adjust water and feed solution to around pH 6.0 - 7.0.
7. Nutrients, ones aimed at growing the plant you want to cultivate are best.
8. Matt white paint or white plastic to cover the walls of the grow space.

Purple stems are most likley just the strain but can be a sign it mite b in a cool enviroment keep above 20c, cool enviroment will cause slow growth , 400 watt hps would great and would help warm the room if thats the case and you wouldnt need the fan on 24/7 just on a timer periodiclly to disperse the heat .

Start off by lowering your lamps!!! Too far away shoudnt be more than 4 inches. Your plant looks fine its stunted due to light starvation. Look for designers edge Bench top work light ,great for vegging , but you wont do well in the flowering stage. Take the tin foil away, plants are not used to having light come up at them from the ground. Miracle grow is fine also peters, add a little rabbit shit or guanno to the mix , ( a little!!!)
If its in the basement your co2 level is probabbly higher due to the furnace down there , to utilize it your grow area has to be warmer, when I use flouros I add a heater in the mix. Look on e-bay for a 400- 600 watt mh and hps light. Very hard to grow good and hide it in your house at the same time. Can you move to the attic? Temp and ventilation are easier to handle there.
