Hey I have some serious yellowing of the larger bottom fan leaves, it started probably two or so weeks ago. Every fourth or fifth fan leave is yellowing and eventually dropping off I know a lot of people say that this is completely normal and that i have a nitrogen deff. but i have also read that no yellowing is normal and that i could possibly supplement the current nutes im using with maybe a grow nute or some type of nitrogen(earthworm). details: 7 weeks into flowering, using PBP bloom and liquid karma in soil under a 600w. Please helppp i dont want my babies suffereing:wall:

You can add whatever you need to supplement the nitrogen, thats what they use for flowering, but it is also completely normal for them to fall off in the end. If your strain is almost done I wouldn't worry about it too much if your harvest is in one or two weeks. Otherwise, if you think you have longer, go ahead and fertilize them up or give them some molasses. They are not done until you chop them.

I always thought that giving them molasses was providing the plant with extra sugars to increase/fatten bud, is it also suppose to help nitrogen problems??

I let mine yellow and fall off, about half or a little more by the time I cut it down! the plant doesn't use as much nitrogen in flowering. Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient, that is why you see it leave the large fan leaves first, it is moving to the new growth sites. If you have lost all your fan leaves before you chop it I would say that is bad but yellowing and losing some leaves is just like how it would grow in nature. You can add more nitrogen to stop the yellowing but then you have more nutrients in you bud and get a harsher smoke. Ive pushed nitrogen and had bright green plants all the way through flower and now let them yellow, I haven't seen a difference in weight or quality except that if I let it yellow I don't have to flush as much or as long to get a good tasting bud!

If you wanted to add more nitrogen, yes you can add some veg nutes but like others above said this is a natural part of the plant's life cycle. Also if you're 7 weeks in (depending on the plant), you only have a few more weeks until harvest so I think it may actually worsen overall bud quality if you starting trying to "fix" the plant at this point.
