So, I have these three plants in an 18 gallon tote, separated into their own areas. They are under a 400watt MH lamp in the vegetative stage and they are really starting to fill out.

My question is what I should do now? I have been considering throwing them into flower as the lowest leaves are not receiving much if any light from the large, overshading canopy I got going. I've considering scrog and even made a janky little screen to see what it would look like. I've spent a lot of time on these plants and want to get the biggest yield possible of course. I am afraid that if I just throw them into flower and let them do their thing that I'm not really gonna get much out of them at this point. I've had a few deficiencies along the way too, so that's also probably going to affect my yield. Really, I just want a decent yield without a shitload of work. Also, I haven't been able to sex the plants yet so scrog is even scarier because i don't wanna get my shit all tangled up and then figure out I have a male pollenating my girls ya know?

I'll throw some pics up and you tell me what you guys think. Thanks a ton!

How many plants are in that ? when you flip them to 12/12 they will still streach a bit. If you look at 12/12 threads to give u an idea how big plants can still get.

That's three plants, I know they are going to stretch. I am more focused on yield at this point. I know the basics of growing etc etc.. not a complete newb, but I would like so good advice on maximizing yield. Thanks for the advice though, I'll go check it out.

your plants look good. dropping them to 12/12 is the way to go but wait a week or so for a little more vertical growth. dont worry about your females getting sexed up by a male because you will catch it way before pollination happens as long as you check daily.

Thanks for dropping by and giving some advice. I am on the same track as you with the switching to flowering cycle, any tips on maximizing my yield this grow? I am afraid the plants are too crowded perhaps, maybe tying them down to the sides a bit to allow more light through etc...Things like that worry me haha, are there things such as that to make a big difference on yield or is most of the bud from my multiple plants going to come straight from the top canopy? I think there might just be some things I'm worried about due to lack of experience. I have finished single plant and outdoor grows, but never really gotten this into it indoors. Thanks again for any advice guys. +rep to you siir by the way.

well, I do agree with letting them veg another week. At this point, to increase your yield, switch to a good hps bulb for flowering, keep your nutes going (bloom for flowering of course) and keep that light as close as you can without burning them. Basic stuff I know but it will help. You could try scrog but then I'd let them veg even longer if you can wait. Looks pretty :)

Thanks for the help, I did my best to make up a scrog set-up from around the house and I looked at some wal-mart stuff, but decided against it. I fear it will just end up being a janky pain in the ass. Wish i had the patience for it, but at this point I just wanna keep it simple and quality. I have a very high quality MH with plenty of red spectrum and lumens to last me until after christmas, I'm not too worried about flowering for a little bit under the MH rather than a shitty HPS. Thanks a bunch again, let me know if you think of anything else.

have you looked into topping?
I've done some topping throughout this grow, but I read that it's not good to do it after week 5 of veg stage so I stopped. If i could just keep topping and vegging I might try that I guess if it can seriously increase yield, but the way i see it, it is just a better way to spread growth around instead of having one main cola. Any thoughts?
