Is that Red and White thing a drinking straw?

They look OK, to me.
The soil looks very different to the pictures posted from Western Europe and North America.
Is it OK for drainage and oxygen retention?
Adding perlite and/or vermiculite may be of help....?

ALSO
I like to give the plants a period of rest.
24/7 lights on seems very unnatural to me.
18/6 isn't an exact copy of the sun hours in nature....
but it seems more like nature than constant light.

Yeah the drainage is good.
in picture 3, that is just a wire. powering one of the CFLs.

I don't know if 24/7 Light hurts the plants
and I assume not
BUT I did read that 18 hours of light, in every 24,
is the most that a plant will convert into growth.

So anything more than 18 hours, in a day, is wasted.

yeah. It does.

so all of you are telling him. the lighting time is to long that is why the plants look strange ? I thought I would ask if he is feeding them 1/4 strength nutrients yet or not. ok we will go with the lighting , I run 24 hours a day for the lest 15 years . I tried 18 slowed my growth down . but bigger roots. Its not the lighting .

i do not feed them in addition.

Are you spraying the plants with water when the lights are on? If so, you need to raise the lights up at least a foot for 30 minutes afterwards or the water droplets can burn the leaves by magnifying the light energy.

Not sure if it is related but that soil looks like sand to me. Dirt should be brown!

He'd already explained that he'd planted them in ORGANIC SOIL WITH LOW AMOUNT FERTILIZER
I don't think there is a problem.

But that soil looks so different to most other growers pics....
It's a concern.

Do you think the drops of water AND closeness of the CFL may be causing the brown spots???

Absolute agreement about the appearance of the soil - It's very light coloured.

Isnt that sand? You call sand soil? Where are you the sahara desert? Looks like your about to make a sand castle.

i'm using CFL, can they also burn the plants ?
they're like 4" away from the plants..
The soil is surely very different for all of you because in this country, this is the best soil and its rare to find it elsewhere. my grandfather has a very big garden, i took it from there.. he grows all kinds of stuff including opium.

yes bro, it is a type of sand with mixed fertilizer.
Not the kind you find in deserts though
