Platinum p300 grow

I bought 5 of these on Craigslist for what I thought was a good deal. This is my first grow with them but have already been thinking of switching to 3 260w kits from HLG. I know most of you aren't fans of these panels but I just wanted to share my first grow with them.
The flowering one is around 8-9 weeks since flip
The others are 3-4 weeks
Veg tent I don't even remember how old everything is. We just moved and I had dates on my calendar but that got lost.
Growing with 4 4ft 6500k led tubes

Ya but for the most part they might be right lol.
But I don't think the p300s are necessary bad lights. They still appear to grow good medicine.

I did decent work under Platinums(along side Area51 RWs) before getting into cobs and such.

The p300s are doing a good job I think.
I am making the switch to some QBs tho
Try to get some money out of the p300s while they're still good.
My veg lights aren't anything special
Some retro fit t5 led tubes. 4ft 6k 18w a tube lol
They seem to be working well tho

Cobs a big improvement over the platinums?

Well, you can grow with anything. Platinum LED were never good. Only as efficient as regular HPS at best.

Basically, with a quality efficient COB setup, you can nearly cut your lighting in half for the same growth. Get a 50%+ efficient COB setup and you can cut your wattage by about 40% over the Platinum setup.

I cannot say this enough.... Shitty lights can grow quality stuff, provided they cover the spectrum. PLED are not the best lights out there, pretty shitty really, but they will grow good stuff. I grew with them (P450) and grew high quality stuff. That does not mean they are not way overpriced (unless you paid about $100 for a P300) and very shitty efficiency with only a decent spectrum. In other words, they are pieces of shit. I would rather grow with HPS than PLED (or any cheap LED) as its much cheaper and you can achieve the same results.

Didn't pay full price but also didn't pay 100 per.
Can't wait to see what the QBs can do compared to these! Hopefully they ship the 14th

Well, put it this way. You have 5 P300 @ 180w draw which equals 900w of power being used. You can easily run 450-500w of QBs and get the same results with less heat (yes, you are producing just about as much heat as a 1000w HPS) which means less energy costs to cool the room.

Again, nothing wrong with cheap LED fixtures if you like to overpay and do not want better performance than HPS. HPS is honestly better due to spectrum produced. In reality, you can get a 1000w HPS setup (cheap but will do the job just like the others) for $200 these days. Just think about that when a P300 retails for $369.......

I read what you're typing but we don't have to keep going over the same thing lol.
I do like hearing that 500w of qb will get me the same results with less consumption.
That is why I decided to make the switch though but it's nice to be reminded I am making the right choice lol.
It's going to be nice not looking at blurple!
For now I just gotta play the waiting game.

No big plans for anything yet. Just normal harvest, dry and cure. But you can fill me in on these concentrates.
Last harvest, my 1st grow, had a bunch of popcorn buds and made a bunch of butter and coconut oil.

And thanks this grow is a big improvement over my first lol
