Plasma light bulb, the future of growing?

I don't know when these will be marketed or if anyone has heard of them. Could be the future of growing as we know it, as long as it puts off the right wavelengths, spectrum and photons.

Just think of it 140lumens per watt, imagine a 250w light, that's 35,000 lumens. It would probably be dirt cheap too.

The colour temperature of that one was 6000 K - about ideal for vegging. We are seeing the future here guys - I never did reckon LEDs were going anywhere.

CMH is the only bulb of the future at the moment. Plasma will never be able to compete except for those who throw hundreds of thousands of dollars at growing weed. Even them CMH would most likely still come out marginally ahead in terms of potency.

That is not that crazy considering a 600watt hps puts out 90,000 and is perfect for flowering pretty hard to beat that!!

Just some info, these have been used fairly extensively at this point to propagate and farm coral indoors, as well as commercial horticulture. They have been commercially available for a few years, and are coming down in price. They are still expensive, but yeah, think $1-$2k (whoever said hundreds of thousands, I suggest you do at least minimal research, they are being made, this isn't some 'space age technology, just think "my buddy has had this stuff in his tv for 6 years..."). They BLOW the hell out of anything HID by a long shot, however for straight up horticulture they are still working on broadening the spectrum (which is already better than current HID's, but yeah, they think they can improve). Anyway, it's not something I would buy tomorrow, but in the next few yeas solid state LEP (light emitting plasma) is going to be where LED is right now (except solid state LEP will solve pretty much all the problems that LED is still trying to overcome).
