Plants yellowing 1 week into veg

I have run into two problems.

First off, 4 of 6 plants are turning yellow from the bottom up, leaving the newer leaves perfectly green, just like N def. but its only been a week, and the soil has nutrients premixed into it, which could also be the problem, but it doesn't look like nute burn to me at least. It could also be overwatering because i was watering them once a day + mistings here and there. I've let them go unwatered for 2 days and just watered them about 15 minutes ago

There's no fans, the door is usually closed, and they are growing under two 27watt cfl's in a white painted closet.

I've also been seeing little tiny white bugs in the soil, all the soil, every plant and even in the bag the soil came in. It was sitting outside of Home Depot in their little gardening area, and there's little holes in the bag, but I didn't think about it until now. So maybe they got in while the bag was at home depot, but I'm not sure if these little bugs are the kind that eat roots and such.

And one plant has just been screwed since it popped out of it's seed, and is also turning yellow in addition.

I'll toss in some pics down below.

is that wood chip in ya soil?im not a fan of that,it can cause all sorts of problems!i personally think your overwatering!

Overall the environment is stressful for your plants and that is why they are experiencing a combination of problems. You need ventilation, ideal temperature, and the correct amount of water and nutrients. Sounds like you don't have all of the necessary supplies to maintain the best results you're looking for; Invest in a moister meter and a ec meter to monitor the soil and its contents.

Well I just flushed the big one with pure bottled water, which i'm already starting to regret, because if the nutes are released by water, then that means i probably just made it worse.

And yes, those are woodchips. I don't like them either but i didn't know they would be in there when i bought the soil.

I left the others the way they are and i'll leave them unwatered for another 3 days and see if they get any better. Hopefully the problem is just overwatering.

And does anyone have any idea what's wrong with that last one? I'm not far from just pronouncing it dead, except its still growing, its just growing screwed up leaves.

dont flush just repot into a bigger pot, with perlite and proper compost, and put 2" of pebbles in the bottom of your pots for drainage.
also fans help plants to expel there toxins, from there leaves.
i dont feed till 4 week vegg, and then only 1 time a week till 12/12.
there is food in just the soil for the first 3 to 4 weeks.
dont kill them by over feeding, when they dont even need it yet.
good luck.

Well, the temperature is always 68-75 in that room, but I don't have any ventilation, and if I open the door, it'll let in cigarette smoke, which i doubt is any good for them. But if i put a fan in there, do you think that would be enough without actual fresh air going in?

I'll look for those meters though, but is there any problem with using bottled water? could the ph be way too alkaline?

I haven't been feeding them, but there is a premix of nutes in the soil, and i may have overwatered them.

And i'll do the tap water thing from now on too. And i'll repot them once i find some gravel.

where did you get the soil, for it to have bugs.
get some proper soil from a store, that has been staralized.
you dont want bugs around such small plants.
thell eat em in a day.

I'm not sure what they are, they're little white bugs you can barely see that come out when you disturb the soil. I got the soil at Home Depot where it was sitting in it's bag outside in their gardening area.

When i transplanted them i noticed the roots seem to have somekind of fuzz growing on them. I'm thinking its fungus or something, and that the roots are rotting from too much water.

Any ideas on how to fix this? cause now i'm sure that the problem is overwatering and root rot

If u see bugs on your soil simply let the soil dry like 1 inch or so before watering again.. that might help.
(Or just go hydro) lol

Alright, I'm going to assume the main problem is root rot and I'm just going to let them all dry out and hopefully that helps.

How dry should I let them get? or is that even the best thing to do?

Sounds like you have a bigger problem than just root rot....if you have "white bugs" which sounds like mites to me. Mites live in nature and on dogs.

The first line of defense against insects and other plant invaders is to prevent them from getting near plants.

If spider mites establish themselves in a grow area, it is virtually impossible to get rid of them without removing all equipment and plants from the area and totally cleansing the space.

High humidity (over 50%) and grow environment contamination should be eliminated. Grow mediums should be sterilized and then treated with beneficial fungi (such as Trichoderma and Gliocladium) and beneficial bacteria.

Light intensity should be adequate for penetration deep into plant canopy, both vertical and horizontal. Plants should be directly in line of fans and other aeration.

Viruses are impossible to kill once they have infected a plant. A preventive measure to protect against viruses, other than the generic tactic of preventing them from entering grow environments, is to keep plants' immune systems healthy with proper watering, temperature, root zones, and nutrients.

All plants or plant parts affected must be immediately removed and destroyed, and any tools, clothing, or other materials that came in contact with the affected plants must be removed, sterilized or destroyed.

Good Luck

Hey i bought a bag of miracle soil a while ago and when i wet it little bugs starting showing all over... What I did was simply let the soil dry.. Do you see any flying bugs around where

your plant is located? You just might be having a fungus gnat infestation. If so, it might just be too much water in synergy with unsterilized soil which contains all kinds of organic

matter. If you keep encountering this bug problem you can either buy a pesticide (I Don't Recommend it) Or just get a soil-less mix that contains no pre-added organic fertilizer that

may attract bugs and be careful with how often you water your soil.. (too much water is the Antichrist of marijuana growing)

Let us know your progress..

Are you in Maricle Grow? if so GET THEM OUT!!!!!!!!!!! also There are bad bugs that live in soil, if there little white bugs it could be fungus gnats and or root aphid larve.
