Plants with 1 leaf instead of 5

I took half a dozen clones from 3 different plants. The parent plants were/are in good shape and doing great. The clones were taken about 10 days into Flower, most had tiny buds starting.

They are growing with 1 leaf instead of a normal 5.

Questions:
1. What could cause this?
2. Should I toss the clones?

I might be wrong but most likely its a harmless mutation- that doesnt mean a bad thing though. I get mutations with my ganja and S. divinorum all the time. usally it's actually kinda cool to let them grow. I'd just let it grow anyway unless you're pressed for space- It might yield something cool.:joint:

keep them, that's quite normal in fact. If the condition persists which it should not then I'd toss em. As previous poster stated, almost a natural mutation. In some instances that will happen but instead a split will happen causing two branches to form. Unless you're hurting for space or light keep it.

looks like you wouldn't want it, few leaves to catch light and even less stored energy later, so stress could kill it faster.
So I would think.
